Nintendo Cave Story Engine 2 EX for 3DS

I just tested that original version. there was something wrong with it as I got only audio. I rebuilt it with different commands, and this one appears to work, video and audio. I replaced the link in the op.
 
Seems the issue was the sound renderer, I think. It compiled originally with software renderer. It will not compile, that fork anyway, with the sound hardware renderer, so I used a separate fork, which does work with the hardware renderer. Seems to run fine. I think the data folder goes in the same folder as the 3dsx. A cia may be possible with makerom, but it requires a .bnr and .icn, both of which can be made with bannertool iirc, along with optional wav for sound and an rsf template.
 
I was able to build a cia and change the title id in the template.rsf. audio is required, even a silent wave is okay. It had a cheap banner and icon like the original sm64 ones. It installed fine, but I got a romfs error upon opening. I think it can't find the data folder. Fixing that is beyond my knowledge.
