updated my rebug Dex from 4.82 to 4.84.2 and now I can't connect but I could before update, I have checked NP environment and network settings for debug and reinstalled ccapi any help would be greatly appreciated I haven't been on for 3 years and I'm a little rusty.
Generally speaking, when in DEX mode, you should set the np environment to np & spoof the idps target id appropriately with the Rebug Toolbox.
That should be it.
However keep in mind that you are not supposed to be able to connect to PSN on older firmware. Until recently, to work around the limitation, you could update to the latest firmware version or spoof the firmware version with SEN Enabler or use a proxy to modify PSN requests before they are sent onto the Internet.
However since the 4.88 update, S#ny made some changes to the PSN login making all existing workarounds to connect to PSN on older firmwares risky ie ban prone.
In Rebug DEX mode, some PSN checks seemed to have been "ignored" in the past. I have no idea what the situation may be now but if I were you, I would not take the risk to try to connect to PSN with the 4.84 sprx system file in charge of logins.
Currently, until we know more & something gets released that changes the status quo, PSN should only be used on 4.88.
Regarding CCAPI, the installation you made on 4.82 may need to be updated.
When you "reinstalled" CCAPI, did you use the latest version?
Just to make sure the issue isn't network related, can you connect to other servers running on the PS3 from your PC or smartphone? Like the ftp server in Rebug Toolbox or the webMAN-MOD http server?
Are you using WiFi or ethernet?
And when you say you "cannot connect", what exactly are you using?
