CECH 2503B - PLAYSTATION MOD ADVICE PLEASE

After modding the slimline top loading PS3, I now have bought a newer model a CECH 2503B. The firmware it is currently on is 4.81 and it appears to be a front loading PS3.

Can someone please advise which mod tutorial I should use is it HEN or HAN? Will I need to update the firmware before proceeding with the modding?

I followed 'modded warfare' tut on YouTube as well as reading up on the process from different sources. I'm going to watch this thread just in case you need any more help.
