Step 4 gives me the chills. Is it required to be on FW 3.55 in order to use the known Lv2diag.self and be able to exit FSM afterwards?.

This is uncharted territory for me, I never go into FSM.

Good point, yes, you need to be on 3.55

I changed the IDPS and EEPROM then downgraded. After entering FSM mode, I got stuck FSM because the added component seemed to be making WIFI board hogging USB bus, preventing the USB drive from being recognized. Removing the Wi-Fi/BT module allowed me to update through FSM and exit FSM. Now the WLAN option appears in settings menu, but it's unavailable. I discovered the system is missing both WLAN and MCC firmware, which I suspect is the cause.
