PS3 CECHA01 flashing red (not yellow)

Hi guys and gals. I got my hands on a PS3 CECHA01 with an unknown fault, it was sold as YLOD but turned out to be RLOD. It beeps and flashes red, then goes into a blinking red in standby until you press the power button again (then repeats). Bad NAND?

It's hard to even find a thread or conversation that doesn't derail into a YLOD discussion. My question is:
How would you go about diagnosis this board? I have medium-advanced solder skills and tools.

As you have standby mode, then you will be able to interact with the syscon.

Post in that thread with the error codes or here. We can then advise on the issue.
