CFW possible on late slim models and super slim?

once u put cfw on ur ps3, ur pretty much signing urself up for another bill
but just saying for anyone who wants a cfw, there comes a price with it.
to me i would rather have HAN to run un-signed code than a whole cfw
Not sure what you mean? CFW is free, and its way way better than OFW?

If you could run unsigned code on HAN it would actually be CFW, you have already modified the FW files by installing the HAN Support files which were customized, so its technically CFW already depending how you look at it.

Maybe you mod games online and get banned, and then you need to buy new IDPS, Most people don't do that though. That is like drink driving and then saying solicitor fees are part of driving costs. :)

I was thinking the same thing. I started messing with the ps3 when you still needed a fsm jig(I converted the flasher I had made for the 360) other than normal maintenance and buying games(Yes I pay for my games ) I've not spent a dime.

Yeah it was patched, but thanks for trying.

the issue is the file with su at the beginning inside the $SystemUpdate. I believe I mention it in my 360 tutorials. all other files in the $SystemUpdate folder are meaningless when it comes to safeguarding the system. it's the file being manipulated by jrunner and xebuild. there's no way into it unless you hardmod. that exploits the hypervisor on kernel 4xxx, so it's pretty old. jtag can only be used up to kernel 7371 iirc. rgh glitches the HANA chip which is what's used for hdmi. that's why you can't glitch the oldest model, a xenon. I wouldn't even bother if it were possible though. those are very prone to rrod. what's happening is that the 4xxx hypervisor is loaded during the bootchain which is why it was originally called "freeboot."

Technically, PS3Xploit is running unsigned code. And maybe in the future it could be used to enable other unsigned code to run.

Tbh I only mod 1 game, i have been modding maybe a few games for the past almost 4 years now, The games i mod are available to mod on ofw, to me i would rather have HAN to run un-signed code than a whole cfw, once u put cfw on ur ps3, ur pretty much signing urself up for another bill that u actually have to look for to have fun. And trust me if u dont have a job, $10 actually comes a long way and goes away so fast. To anyone who has a job might disagree cause u get paid every few weeks/month but just saying for anyone who wants a cfw, there comes a price with it.
