PS3 Cinematics stutter after hdd change

Hello, I decided to upgrade the hdd of the ps3, originally it used a Toshiba MK3265GSX hard drive, 320gb and 5400 rpm.
I found for a good price a Seagate Barracuda PRO 1TB, rated at 7200 rpm.

The problem is that when I play (may it be Metal Gear Solid 4 or Daemon's Souls or any other game with cinematics) they stutter so much, they somtimes hang for a second or two. I also noticed that the general response seems slower compared than before.
Obviously before put the hard drive on the ps3, I checked for smart values and they were ok.

Is it possible that a 7200 rpm instead of giving better performance they get worse?

Thank you for any response.
