So again I ask Killer 7 random crashes fixable or not?

There's also horrible noises after you enter Harmon's Room sometimes.

I am not too familiar with the game. Do the crashes happen anywhere?

It seems they can happen anywhere the compat list says when changing areas I didn't pay attention if I was changing areas or not. I would say they happen about once per hour of gameplay, but that could be just my experience. The compatibility list says

Game can crash when transitioning from one area to another(VERY Rare). Game can do a loud beeping noises after certain save rooms, but it will go away eventually.
I would not say very rare is necessarily accurate as I've played 3 hours and had 3 of them, but it's not something that happens every 5 minutes you will have to invest some time into it to even get one.. It has glitched graphics when it happens and you have to shut off the PS3 by hitting the power button. It's actually a prettty good game IMO it's a Capcom game when they could do no wrong and Suda 51 was involved. You should check it out. It's different though than anything you've ever played or will play.


Whenever you do decide to tackle it (not expecting you to today or anytime soon just when you can) I would recommend a guide because there's a lot of puzzles and switching characters and a certain character needs to solve a certain puzzle etc... unless you're very good at them naturally. I'm not and I'm using this guide https://gamefaqs.gamespot.com/gamecube/562551-killer7/faqs/48550 (note that almost all guides out there are for Gamecube since it was on Gamecube first, it's the same thing on both except of course for controls)

One tip hold R1 to aim and L1 at the same time to see the enemies weak points, then hit X to shoot. Once I figured that out at least the gameplay got easier, but the puzzles can be tricky. If you know how to add Codebreaker to an ISO (I can help if not) you might want to on this game to unlock all characters with max stats, and prevent from dying.

Command 0x21 set at 1...interesting. This is just a guess, but maybe 0x21 set at 1 does something with disc drive emulation/reading. I know GTA: Vice City uses it and compat list states that without it there are some disc read errors. I didn't bother to try it with Giants: Citizen Kabuto yesterday, but I will do so today.

EDIT: Also a negative VSYNC value on IPU, similar to Fatal Frame II's config.

EDIT 2: Okay, the command doesn't do anything for Giants.

Skips freezing FMV (seems like a similar problem to Shadow Hearts 3) and skips function that detects if a disc is inserted or not. Disc is obviously still inserted, but something goes wrong in the function leading to the message displaying and the game softlocking. This config skips that, as well as retaining all other FMVs. The game itself seems to play great when ingame.
Skips freezing FMV need manually right?

Weird, I wasn't getting that freeze. I was only getting a freeze on the game intro FMV after that one, and PS button menu was invisible but could still be exited blindly.

Looks like this one is work! no freeze in "Play Now" Mode!
