PS3 Compatibility List - PS2 on PS3

Crash Twinsanity - Unplayable because freeze when loading main menu. Tested pal version as classic, but i know that NTSC and ISO have same issue.

Btw. When i get my PS3 alive that list get BIG IMPROVEMENT, +200 titles to test. Thanks to my friend providing used games shop

Don't suppose there's a list like this for ps1 games on cobra?
Most of mine have major audio issues.
Ie. Tony hawk 2 has staticy sounding music and need for speeds videos sound cuts out once every few seconds .

Was rather disappointed thinking that psx games pretty much all worked fine.

Edit: As for ps2 games gran turismo 3 works pretty well apart from the menus bouncing around a bit. Nothing majorly annoying.In game seems fine.

1942 works fine as far as I've seen. (cant remember exact name, vertical plane game)
Will try gran turismo 4 later.

All games run as iso on my cechl02

Usually that's Sony's responsibility in terms of maintaining the emulator, which I doubt they have done since the PS4, although I might be wrong on that one, so please feel free to correct me.

Until some smart guy don't develop something similiar to PSPDBG.SPRX LIB for ps2 emulator there is small chance to improve compatibility. Second way is reverse engineering THPS files and turning off problematic shading that causing texture loss (maybe even easier than develop debuger) but i don't think anyone work on this.

Could someone test Dragon's Lair 3D-Special Edition. It loads to the title screen for me but when I go start the game it freezes half-way through loading. Thanx.

I can confirm that Beatdown: Fists of Revenge, Mr. Mosquito and Sylpheed work flawlessly as ISO.

Battlefront 1 is 100% unplayable as a ps2 classic.

Soul Calibur 3 runs slow as ass on SemiBC and Cobra systems using a real disc and/or ISO. Not sure if it's working on Full BC units.

I think all ps2 games will work on Full BC models, (Maybe there are very rare exceptions but that was my understanding as the PS2 hardware is built in?)

There is a game or two that doesn't work on a full BC but yes are rare. Just like there are certain PS1 titles that will not run on a PS2 or PS3, rare but a few are there and varies depending upon the PS2 or PS3 model. Heck there is even PS2 games that don't run on certain model PS2's.

Cheers for clarifying, I thought I remembered hearing of a ps2 game that wouldn't work on a full BC PS3 years ago.

Yea I will give it a go. And yea BC is never 100% despite the system. Really sucks as MK Trilogy is one of my favorite PS1 games but will not run on any PS2 and has issues in a BC PS3 but funny thing is is runs just fine using the PS1NETEMU but problems from the disc.
