Okay, this one should fix all the freezes including Elysium Alps. I booted the game twice and tried both race and freestyle with no freeze, but definitely needs to be tested more. Didn't test PAL region, but config should work if I didn't make any error.

@chibro Sorry, only SLES-54644 for now.

@Vika23 Yes, any ps2 game and even HEN should work as well.

I've played some rounds now on Elysium Alps and all in all it rounds fine, but I faced around 4 or 5 freezes on different areas and spots. :/

Strangely enough they're not occuring everytime, but more or less it seems that most of the freezes are happening irrational. Sometimes the game freezed at those spots, but sometimes I could surpass them. So I don't know what the reason behind that is.

I've added some pictures and try to explain as good as I can where the spots are. :D

Those 3 freezes happened in the racing mode.

The first freeze is happening pretty close to the beginnig. As you surpass one of the first checkpoints, instead of going forward, you can use a short cut to the right that leads uphill. You break through a wooden fence and get to the perk.

The second freeze occured right before the glass labyrinth.

The third freeze occured right before the end of the race as you board through the looping and take the perk.

The last freeze occured in the show off mode, also right before the glass labyrinth. It lays some metres behind the second freeze.

@johnc123 Looks like the emulator really hates this game. :D

Thanks for testing and providing pictures. Looks like there's still some work to be done for this game, but hopefully I can workaround these last freezes. I already have an idea of what it could be. I can't stop now. :cool:

Yes, I also thought the same. :D

No problem and hopefully you'll be able to fix that game, the game really insists on not running without problems. :D

@johnc123 Not sure it will help but worth a try.

Oops, I just noticed this config makes you automatically detected as 1st place no matter where you are in the race lol. Either way, still good to test.

Nevermind, the race never finishes either lol. I'll try to find another workaround.

I pray for the day that someone finally fix klonoa 2,street fighter 3 and ace combat the belka war is finally fixed.

Those are the only good games that still with major issues,

Enjoy the break from this game as I undererstimated the headache this game would cause. :D
 
did the emulator got updated or something?I Have tried to run a game and it feels like is running worse than before,or I just imagining things?
 
Emulator is the same since 4.78. Last real change that can potentially affect speed was probably somewhere around 2013-2014 year.

If the iso got corrupted it most likely would not work at all. I think it's most likely a placebo or something else.Anyways, I'll be taking a look at Street Fighter EX 3 very soon to see if I can find a fix for the freeze.
 
So actually I managed to get to the last level of SSX.

1. All in all it worked very well and there haven't been much freezes. It freezes nearly always when you pick up collectible perks or snowflakes in the showoff mode. Either it'll freeze immediately when you pick it up or shortly afterwards. There have been some freezes without collectible perks but they have been pretty rare.

2. I'm now facing again a freeze at the very beginning of the last level. Maybe you could take a look at it @mrjaredbeta? I'd really appreciate it and again nice work for the config, as I could progress now much further in the game. :D
