PS3 Compatibility List - PS2 on PS3

Can someone test that speedhack work? I analyzed NFS U2, and it seems that drawing reflections on VU1 is very costly for game speed. Here is test patch that should act as a speed hack. US (SLUS) version only.

Edit2: That one additionally remove road reflections. So should be superior in terms of speed (if reflections are real issue..).

I didn't see any performance gains in the slus version :(

is to disable blur light effects? maybe that's the problem

Fixes all freezes by disabling problematic effect. Not really sure what is going wrong in this function, so I just disabled the whole thing. The effect stores screenshot in memory for screen crossfade or during shot meter (maybe to avoid moving objects distracting the player when taking the shot). Downside is screen is black during these segments, but it's not gamebreaking or anything. I'm better at finding problems rather than fixing them. o_O

Fixes graphical errors on Music World boss by disabling its shadow rendering. May need to be updated for other levels...but I am still playing through the game. :)

EDIT: I see. It's the graphic overlay effect that is probably the culprit...I will put together a different config tomorrow that keeps more "iconic" effects enabled.

Very nice! Btw. I worked on patch for pcsx2, maybe it will help you little bit here. That why i touched NFS U2 again yesterday, because i worked on this for pcsx2 ;) Is unfinished, but maybe it will help you on ps3.

can someone on here correct wrong report of nba street 2 ntsc-u and dbz tenkaiche 2/3?

there is no lag on nba street 2-ntsc usa

and there is no red lines on dbz tenkaiche 2/3.
 
On the official list Katamari Damacy US is listed as unplayable even though there's an official ps2 classic. Will the ps2 iso work with the config found on the PS dev wiki website?

This should be final config. This keeps the blur and light blur effects while removing graphic overlay (which is virtually unnoticeable to me). This makes a branch always true so it skips a bunch of stuff. This is also barely tested...maybe someone who knows the game more can find something else that's disabled?

@kozarovv Those didn't seem to fix the slowdown, so I guess its fine that these stay enabled. Thanks for providing these, though. :)

Cool, to be honest i worked on patch for PCSX2 only. PS3 attempt was side project :D
Here at 1:00 is what my full patch do (not one posted here). Worth to watch full video for comparison, ignore my bad driving, it was on keyboard. :D

@mrjaredbeta game works perfectly with no slowdowns, confirmed, just like Gxemu. Heres a comparison picture between netemu with config and gxemu. Awesome job!! Btw will there ever be a way to force 1080p output on Netemu or is it totally hardcoded? Gxemu always looks a bit sharper due to this.
