PS3 Compatibility List - PS2 on PS3

The offset address of the European version is 202d7640. I also tested it on PS4. Now the game can run at a high level of 2X2 without the previous configuration. Thanks to mrjaredbeta

What is the original value at 0x002d7640? In the PS3 configs we need to specify original value too. It's the jal command so the value should be different.

Thank you so much!

Fixes majority of frame rate problems by disabling some unneeded stuff (fog and graphic overlay mostly).

@Vika23 @nictse @Marcus Halberstram You can test with this config if you want. I played through the first level and only the smoke-filled building had some noticeable slowdown. Otherwise, game plays nicely now.
Was test it! Confirm game stay more playble with that config then early

Fixes slow motion bug by forcing frame handling when needed (a bug that plagued gxemu), disables ghosting that blurred image to mask frame drops, and disables shadows and sun glow effect to further retain frame rate. Game speed is unaffected regardless of frame rate, and game runs in full speed with slight frame drops only in intensive scenes.

Game would exhibit very weird behavior before this config with menus and gameplay running at a lower overall speed on around half of the startups. Resetting the game could potentially fix the menus, but ingame would still exhibit some slowdown. Config fixes this issue completely, and the slow motion is gone.

Here is a video showcasing the issue on gxemu (at 9:52):

EDIT: Forgot to mention that the FMVs in 480p mode are bugged. Everything else works flawlessly in 480p.

This is my first attempt to port the configuration on PS3. I hope I got it right. Thanks to the collective research of @Agrippa and @mrjaredbeta.

The PAL config does match the mine. I have to mention that the 50 Hz mode has got a similar glitched movie playback as the 480p in the NTSC version. The PAL disc has not got the progressive scan option though.

Yes, 60Hz mode is the same, I also tested it on PS4

What I'm talking about is that PAL 60hz mode has the same effect on PS4 and NTSC. It's just that there will be many problems on PS4. In the end, I didn't apply the configuration on PS3 to PS4.

Both configs should be version agnostic. The PAL one will work with the Platinum 2.00 version definitely. The same should apply to the Japanese 1.00 version as well I think. Probably the 2.00 versions have got a fix for the Chronicles of the Sword save corruption.

Yes, it is also applicable to the Japanese v1.01 version. I am not sure about the specific corrections. I know very little about this game!

You can try either config:
