I increased the parameter of the 0x04 command from 8 to 32. Increasing the parameter seems to clear up all possible graphical glitches when compared to the previous config where there was some flashing during combat and just randomly (same as gxemu). Only tested around 20 mins of gameplay for each.

Seriously...I can't believe how many of these gxemu configs are half-assed, incomplete, or just plain wrong and not working (Crash Twinsanity). Its like a riddle: Sony provides us with commands and clues and leaves it up to us to finish it. So many other games could have been playable (or more playable than they were) on CECHC/E half-BC models.

Anyways, this could definitely use some more testing. I am not sure what this command touches internally (some type of delay? parameter = cycles to delay?), but these games/all Surreal games seem to have had similar problems on PCSX2: https://forums.pcsx2.net/Thread-Resolved-Bug-report-The-Suffering-NTSC?pid=213126

Fellowship of the Ring seems to be fine with default config. Drakan might need an adjustment if config is not working properly (untested).

Looks like the same exact bug in netemu, except it is functioning a bit differently compared to PS3. Without the config, the game flickers like this repeatedly depending on what is on the screen. You should try the PS3 config on PS4 as lopnor and see if it works (not sure if the command is supported on PS4).

i was test already on ps4 with lopnor, still same bug, on ps3 is all ok and no that bug?
 
@Vika23 Yup, the config fixes it. You can test it with and without config to compare. No config will have the image flash constantly, previous config will flash that image rarely, but new config gets rid of it completely.

Skips repeated syscall (iRotateThreadReadyQueue) to fix black screen on boot. 0x0B patch in gxemu config is unneeded (thanks for info @kozarovv!), and 0x46 improves the frame rate of...everything (menu, cutscenes, ingame). Overall, works great with some frame dropping happening in the opening snow area (doesn't affect game speed!). Needs more testing, though. :)
 
Lol, the game will not be able to detect that no matter how intricate the protection is. It is either: a.) another problem with the save game from GameFAQs (low probability) or b.) the game thinks the emulator is using cheats and/or knows something is wrong and messes up the save file (higher probability). VP2 may never be compatible after all...

Hi, i have two ps3 (FAT PAL and SLIM PAL) both version 4.88 Evilnat.
Original disc convert to ISO VA2 (version PAL: SLES54644).
ISO VA2 run fine from PS3 FAT.
I copy savegame, ISO and config from PS3 FAT then paste file to PS3 SLIM, after i many time battle then crash, oh.
PS3 FAT install PKG VA2 is quick crash, better is ISO.

I noticed PS3 FAT screen top 1 second pop up pixel (every finish battle), i checked PS3 SLIM doesnt have see pixel.

Possible, who person know screen top pixel copy code to PS3 SLIM.

@AuroNPL You cannot change anything about ps2_gxemu (half-BC emulator), so that pixel line will stay there. By the way, we figured out what was causing the freeze on Chapter 5...it was one of my additions the the config (ghosting disable code). The game will be fully playable again on your Slim model once we update the config. I will provide a save file (PAL) to test with it as well if you'd like.

@nictse You want to change it to the right analog stick? Check the controller settings ingame.

I didn't said very clearly.
If U want to shoot a guy at left corner of screen.U need push ur stick to left corner and cant release before shoot.
If release the crossbar will back to center.
There is no option in game to change.
The control is very different between modern fps.Like n64 golden eye.

I played it on og xb,the strange control make cant finish the 1st level, then del it.

@aldostools I used this soft before.Very good soft, but can't achieve what I said above.

Hello guys, first thing first i want to say thank you for your awesome work on PS2 configs that made many games playable on PS3. I want to report some major issue in Shadow Hearts: Covenant, in the last dungeon of the game 4-5 steps before the 2 final boss fights there is a mini puzzle that make dungeon platform spin if you press the control panel thingy in the middle of this map.
The problem is there is like 4 floors, but when you get to the final one and spin the platform to proceed further the game just crash (or idc how you call it in this case). PS3 still works after that crash but there is no video signal and you must reboot your PS3 manually. It's a shame really because if not for that little crash in the end of the game it works flawlessly otherwise.
Here's the save file for the place where game just hard crash 100% of the time, i made it through the end of the game using PCSX2 and just saving in the next save point on the final floor and it works fine. (Save that crashes the game is in slot 8)
