PS3 Compatibility List - PS2 on PS3

Oh boy...these were giving me headaches:

Destroy All Humans! (SLUS-20945)

Code:
3D 00 00 00 57 44 00 00 0A 00 00 00 01 00 00 00
38 3D 32 00 04 93 06 0C 00 00 00 00 0E 00 00 00
24 BF 28 00 0E 00 00 00 84 C0 28 00

Destroy All Humans! (SLES-53196)
Code:
3D 00 00 00 57 44 00 00 0A 00 00 00 01 00 00 00
A8 41 32 00 04 93 06 0C 00 00 00 00 0E 00 00 00
BC C0 28 00 0E 00 00 00 1C C2 28 00
Skips mipmapping to fix graphical glitches and fixes anal probe bug. I haven't tested any other weapons, but any others that are problematic should be easily fixable. Alpha effects (sun and lights) are still visible through walls...seems like a GS issue that is unfixable. It doesn't affect any gameplay function as its only visual.

Destroy All Humans! 2 (SLUS-21439)
Code:
3D 00 00 00 57 44 00 00 0A 00 00 00 02 00 00 00
18 58 45 00 22 00 A0 05 22 00 00 10 24 8A 35 00
22 00 A0 05 22 00 00 10

Destroy All Humans! 2 (SLES-54384)
Code:
3D 00 00 00 57 44 00 00 0A 00 00 00 02 00 00 00
18 3D 45 00 22 00 A0 05 22 00 00 10 4C 89 35 00
22 00 A0 05 22 00 00 10
Skips mipmapping to fix graphical glitches. Alpha effects are still visible through walls.

I didn't notice any time of crashing as noted in the compatibility list...maybe a false report. Both games still need more testing but should be all good besides the alpha bug. :)

Small update:

Destroy All Humans! (SLUS-20945)
Code:

24 BF 28 00 0E 00 00 00 84 C0 28 00 00 00 00 00

Destroy All Humans! (SLES-53196)
Code:
3D 00 00 00 57 44 00 00 0A 00 00 00 01 00 00 00
7C 82 1A 00 03 00 40 14 00 00 00 00 0E 00 00 00
BC C0 28 00 0E 00 00 00 1C C2 28 00 00 00 00 00
The previous config left certain objects still glitched (I noticed the fair banner in the second level). This should fix all mipmapping problems by force exiting the mipmapping function from anywhere it is called from before doing its math calculations.

DAH2's current config should be fine as it handles mipmapping differently.

Well, yes and no. I fixed the bugged game over screen a couple months back (it's not noted on the list), but there really isn't any fix for the ingame slowdowns or the slight desync on cutscenes. However, the Branch E boss fight isn't bugged at all so that needs to be updated. I managed to complete it pretty easily.

It's playable, just with some slowdowns.

will it work on SLES-53641 version?

@Rafaelrios You can use an FTP program (FileZilla) on your PC to connect to your PS3's IP address through Wifi and transfer files to and from your computer.

@Vika23 Not sure, but it would be good to test! I haven't looked into that version. My guess is that mipmapping will probably be fixed but the anal probe fix might need some adjustments.

Was test it, looks like it work on SLES-53641 too, just finish first stage!

Dragon Quest V (SLPM-65555)
Code:
3D 00 00 00 57 44 00 00 0E 00 00 00 88 3F 69 00

Fixes characters stuck in cutscene. Interestingly enough, this deals with VU accuracy like Silent Hill 2's missing geometry and not FPU accuracy like almost every other 0x0E/0x0F fix.

EDIT: Added 4 byte terminator at end...I forget that sometimes now. It's not required anyways, but for convention...

Nice, the dragon quests are important, specially considering none of them was published for PS3 (im not counting the builders and the musou ones that are not a classic DQ adventure)

Btw @Rafaelrios, if you find another problem later in the game... before saving the game spend all your moneyz in the best equipment best weapons, lot of healing potions, etc... this way when you upload the save the character is a bit overpowered and is ready to "rush" a bit
