PS3 Compatibility List - PS2 on PS3

Anyone get a freeze at the title screen after pressing start on Sega Soccer Slam NTSC version for PS2? I haven't tried the PAL version nor do I know if it exists. Can anyone else confirm this glitch? Thanks.

1. I can confirm that it works on CFW 4.90. (Slim)

2. Tested on latest HEN with encypted image via PS2 Classics launcher and it passed the title screen the first time but then gave a blank screen when the game was about to start. I tried rebooting the system game and now it continues to freeze on the title screen again.
Again, this only on HEN. (Super Slim)

Either way, it's at least working on one of them. :)

The config has to be encrypted for HEN, so if that was not done then it will not be triggered.

I will port this over to the other regions for the database. Thank you for testing. :)

Port of SLUS to SLES. Both configs are just a port of kozarovv's freeze fix for EA Black Box's other games (NHL Hitz 2002/2003).
 
Hi, somebody can make a fix for max payne 2 pal version (spanish version) for hen, it freezes on the part 1 of the chapter 3, after loading, thanks in advance, reading about it, i found that this same bug happen in opl on ps2, very strange
 
I can't play the Pop'n Music 8 with ps2 classic files.
I checked the ENC config file, but I can't play through the Webman MOD.
I also made pkg file, but I tried to open popn music8, it will turns into black screen. please fix the config".ENC" files.

(The problem only appears in ps2 classic emulation. I think the iso hardware emulation is working correctly.)
 
It's been a while. Was there ever a fix for the Spongebob Movie? I remember it got taken off the store because the emulation was just that bad.

It is more likely the game was removed due to licensing issues.

Is there anything else wrong with the game besides audio desync in cutscenes? I have not personally tried the game.
 
Hi all, requesting help for Dragon Ball Z 2V (SLPM 68513), english patched version, if possible.

Game can't start, gets stuck in a black screen after the playstation 2 logo.

I haven't played it, but I heard there was input lag and the image was stretched to fit a 16:9 aspect ratio.
 
Hello everyone, I'm new here. I've been trying some ps2 games on HEN and thanks to the configs you guys have shared most of them work almost perfectly, but I'm having some trouble with the Final Fantasy X-2 International + Last Mission (SLPM-65478) config, the wiki says there's a fix for the stuttering in cutscenes included in the config, which disables the subtitles in the FMV's, but after trying it a couple of times it still has the same problem, and the subtitles are not disabled. Is it actually fixable? Is there a way to, for example, mix this fix from another game with a similar problem:

Firstly, I'd like to thank @kozarovv for the ongoing reversing and research of netemu and @Agrippa for fixing FFXII/discovering the use for this command. Secondly, I'd like to personally apologize to @aldostools for how long this post is. I did nothing for this fix. I am merely carrying the fix over to the games that require it. So far, these are the only known games.

Amazing work is still being done for this emulator and I am excited.

I searched the forum and found a video showing this exact problem but apparently with the regular NTSC version of X-2. It's from before the previous quote, though.

Problem with FMVs slow,
I do not know if the PAL version does the same
I should also note that I'm using the english patched version of the game, in case it matters. Is the fix only for the NTSC and PAL regular versions? I haven't tried those, but they are marked as playable in the wiki so I assume it is.

This config changes specific sectors on the disc image. Because of the English patch, files are moved from their original sector to a new one, so the config is not patching the data correctly.

The config will either have to be switched to use memory patching or the sectors will have to be corrected to match where the files are located on an English patched copy. Both are pretty easy to do, but I don't have time at the moment to do it.

Same config as the first game, with game ID changed in hex file. Fixes freeze on chapter 3 part 1.

Is there a way to know what is potentially causing a freeze in a game? I'm yet again trying Aero Elite SLUS-20614, I tried multiple vsync options in the debug menu but it always seems to freeze randomly, Japanese version SLPM-65150 does not freeze but it would be nice to have it all in English plus no arcade mode in the Japanese version. The ISO is apparently good I verified it with redump.
 
Dropship: United Peace Force SLUS_204.63 got scrambled text and a ton of image flickering during heavier scenes, setting No-IPU to 800.000 in debug appears to fix it but has a negative impact on the framerate. Seems like a pretty cool simcade flight game, surprised it didn't get a PC release back in the day.
