CECHA01

Just bought this one not too long ago. Warranty sticker was intact. Took it apart to clean and repasted. Was absolutely filthy. Did have a faulty blu-ray laser. Had a matching spare blu-ray drive and swapped. The guy I bought it from said it never had YLOD so take it for what if's worth. Been putting it through it's paces and everything's working great. Got it on CFW Rebug light CEC Cobra 8.2. Latest Webman for dynamic fan control and Latest Multiman.

Here is my latest CECHA01 with warranty sticker intact with no dust and extremely good paste still. I dont plan on repasting the chips since it takes 10+ minutes for the fans to even start running but anyways here ya go

P.S sorry for the horrible photo xp

Picked up a second cechA model with warranty sticker intact. Unit was pretty pristine with minimal dust buildup. According to the original owner it has never had ylod. I've only currently put cfw on and done some basic thermal testing after a basic repaste with mx-4.

CechA warranty sticker intact 106days used allegedly no ylod. Thermal paste was still moist/tacky.

For the record... some months ago me and other people was speculating where is stored this info (basically, our doubt was if it was stored either inside CELL or inside SYSCON)

This post written by @M4j0r seems to clarify it https://www.psx-place.com/threads/s...o-what-does-it-mean.26148/page-10#post-223893
It seems to be stored in a area of syscon eeprom located at offset 0x3500 named "ON/OFF Count, On Time"

This means... that some PS3 units that was refurbished (and that refurbishment required replacing the software inside syscon) have that values "reset"

I'll be getting more kits soon but here's my current stats list (I didn't bother taking pictures since it would clog up the entire thread). I noted that a few of them do have broken warranty seals but I'm not sure if that was from YLoD or if it was from some other flaw. I have a few non-cfw compatible models as well that I've omitted.

I think I can also confirm this. I noticed one of my recent DECHA00A pickups had a broken warranty seal, 415 power on count, but only 8 power on hours. I suppose the warranty seal could have been broken to replace something basic like a faulty laser out of the box or someone may have done it to replace the thermal paste but that still seems like an extremely strange usage pattern (roughly 1 minute per power cycle).

Maybe it was used in a cluster, the cluster had some tenths of PS3's but when they turned the cluster on there was a PS3 with problems (maybe PSU) that was rebooting in a loop, and it took them 8 hours to realize about it :D
So they replaced the PS3 in the cluster, sent the PS3 to repair, but never used after the repair

Unsure if you are still keeping track but might as well throw my numbers into the ring.

PS3 Phat - CECHH03
Nothing replaced so far and when taking it a part it seems to already have the improve internal powerbrick made of plastic not the metal one.
