Dudes, wtf what are you doing to have so many improper shutdowns ?... i guess you are disconnecting the power cable :P

My CECH-25xx, im realizing that im in the podium in the record of the smaller number of improper shutdowns per lifetime :P

That is fairly amazing. I guess if I knew all along that my console was counting every shutdown I might have been more careful. :) I normally pull the power as I am in a hurry.

I always was very carefull with it (i never disconnect power cable unless there is no more options)
The motherboard components doesnt suffers, and i guess the PSU components have protections for it

The real problem is the hdd, you know, when it does that ugly "click" sound (because the reading header is returning to the "parking" position abruptly)
This could cause bad sectors eventually (physically damaged in the hdd platters)... and after that the hdd needds to "remap" the bad sectors

In my opinnion the only thing that matters is the hdd (and you can replace it, so is not a serious problem)


*Btw, this feature is very handy if you buy a used PS3... is nice to know how many hours of use it had

We need the stats of one of that survivors with more than 500 days runtime XD

I bet there is going to be people with more than 1000 days, and my guess is this position of the podium seems to be reserved for a CECHA/B/C/E probably

Thoes close to 1000 days champs got theyre console on YLOD mode :rolling:

You should mention this test in the tutorial about the tokins btw
The total runtime is one of the bigger factors that could affect them

There are others (like temperature, or an inestable PSU) but the runtime is the most important in general
We dont have enought reports to get an idea of which values or runtime could be excesive for the tokins... but dunno is better to keep an eye at this because eventually we could find some pattern

3 to 5 years until the console dies, and thats into the 1st Gen-Side,but yes i thought of that earlier.

I thought the improper shutdowns would be way higher than this considering this PS3 is the one of my 4 that has a split personality and does whatever the hell it pleases... and most of them are from the last 2 years lol...

CECH4003A to be posted when I install HEN on it as its still un-xploited atm.

I also have a CECH-A01 and CECH-B01 but unfortunately both are ylod.
 
@DeViL303 do u know the model of the 580d one from discord?

i'm interested to see which models have lasted this long with that much use. just another indicater of what to buy or nor not buy.
