PS3 Controller disconnects randomly after updating to CFW 4.91

Hi guys,

I am using the Wingman XE2 adapter with my Dualsense controller on a Slim 2003B ( same issue happens with the Xbox One controller as well btw) and in the last days after updating to the final CEX version after I was on beta, my controller disconnects after a period of time ( it also happened while I was playing, so not only when I leave it untouched). There are no power saving options enabled in the Xmb, and it even happens when charging with a power adapter. It still shows as lit, but no button presses are registered anymore. The only way to get it to work again is to unplug the adapter and plug it back in, but then it happens again shortly after that.

Has anyone experienced the same behaviour or have any advice?

Also, can I revert to a previous cfw without losing all my data, etc, and is it a difficult process? I assume I can't just install an old one on top of the new one.

You can downgrade your CFW to a version that you know your 3rd party controllers won't have any issues.

Follow these instructions from Aldo:

1. Install CFW CEX (Rebug 4.84, 4.86 or Evilnat 4.90 are recommended)
2. Enable QA Flags through Rebug Toolbox or Custom Firmware Tools in the case of Evilnat 4.90
View attachment 40895 => View attachment 40896
3. Install any OFW or CFW with higher or lower version.
(if OFW is higher than 3.55, you will need to patch again the PS3 with ps3toolset or flash writer 4.90)
