controller problem free mcboot

hi, not sure if this is allowed for me to ask in here but it seems i cant find the problem anywhere or my limited skills are not allowing me to find the answer.
i have free mcboot installed and ive ripped my simpsons H&R game to hard drive on ps2 slim.
when booting the game the contoller no longer functions but the analog light is still on.
i have this problem with a few other games also, anyone know of this problem?

try enable opl compatability mode 6 for that game.
 
I'm not sure how this problem is related to FMCB?

You have official NA (Network adaptor) or 3rd party (Game star)?
What app and version of it you use to launch "The Simpsons: Hit & Run", etc.
 
BTW i loved this game on gamecube/ps2 and even replayed it on wii a while back with the kids.

hi, sorry for late reply.
i dont have it connected to any network, is this important im new to FMCB, im useing both OPL-r 1862
and also have OPL-0.9.3 installed, this happens on both.
ps this game is running from harddrive from an iso file.
sorry for the noobieness.

You need to be on USB\EHT\HDD Games -> :but tri: Game Menu -> Game Setting.

When any mode will be selected press "OK" -> Save\Test Changes.

I have notice that you are using USB Device,
so you have HDD connected into PS2 through USB port.

Also you have turn off "Check USB Game Fragmentation".
Please turn it ON.

Can you try OPL 1555:
https://github.com/ps2homebrew/Open-PS2-Loader/releases/download/latest/OPNPS2LD.ZIP.

sorry for keep bugging you
I tried the 1555 version and above settings also with the mode 6,still having the same problem, would it be possible that the iso image maybe faulty ?

also would like to thank you for all your help :)
