Convert .bin to .iso OPL No save file error

I have seen many suggestions around this. From the command line I have tried to use chunk, but have no .cue files for any of my .bins. I have tried OPL Manager as alternative is it seems like it allows you to convert .bin files to .iso without the need for a .cue file. However, this is not working as I get a No save selected error. Why am I getting this error?

I would prefer to do this conversion over the command line to complete the conversions in bulk if I can get OPL working that will be a good first step.

I know this is an old thread, but I have a related question. Is ImgBurn a valid tool to convert BIN+CUE into an ISO? (for use with OPL)

i dont know if imgburn does that but the post above yours links to WinBin2Iso. i know it works.
 
from what I remember, imgburn won't convert bin to iso. it will error saying something about multi tracks being incompatible. I think I tried it with dino crisis when I was trying to get it to work. I found a way to merge two bins into a single bin, but I can't recall how I did it. I never went from bin to iso though. I don't think most tools will allow it.
 
Oh, I can confirm that ImgBurn v2.5.8.0 was able to convert Aqua Aqua from BIN/CUE to ISO. I did it before I found this thread.

I was just wondering if that ISO would actually work on the PS2. I will test it and report back.
 
It worked on Frequency too. I chose "Create Image File from Files or Folders." Here are some screens:

I didn't do it that way. I mounted the bin file first. a single bin with one cue seems to be okay, but you'll get a warning.

edit: I don't think the way you did is going to work. you copied the files themselves rather than the disc image content.
 
if it doesn't work, try mounting the cue file with dameon tools or alcohol 120%. I know you can mount isos with windows 10 by default, but I've never been able to mount a bin or a cue file.
 
I used WinCD Emu to mount it, but I got an error from ImgBurn that the image used an incompatible data type. I'll try another tool.
 
You cannot convert CD image to DVD image just like that because they are often secured by LBA checking and/or media type checking (they will not works after conversion from mode2 to mode1, from CD ISO9660 to DVD ISO9600/UDFv1.02).

I believe this option is for converting DVD image in *.bin to DVD image in *.iso.

You can create *.cue by Yourself. It is a text file, and none of CDs have audio tracks (which needs to specify the time stamps, order etc.).

You have made disc image containing disc image. That will not work and have no sense. ;p
 
I actually didn't test the images created with the ImgBurn method above, but I assume that it does NOT work.

2 methods that I did test successfully
1) WinBin2Iso
2) Mounting with WinCD Emu and using OPL Manager's Disc/Convert to ISO tool
 
Just coming back to this. Eventually the best solution was to use HDLBatch which of course just calls HDL_Dump. It seems most .bin/cue files can be installed via HDL_Dump without converting them first.
