Hello everybody,
is there a way to recover the content of a liquid damaged FL256LAIF01? It's probably dead, with a Multimeter in diode mode I can read no value from the 7 pads and GND. it hurts thinking to throw away a good PS4 PRO for a few missing bytes.:crushed:
APU, SYSCON and NOR are married, is somehow possible to rebuild a NOR from the information content in the syscon and a dump from another console?

hi, if you can not read the original nor chip then there is no way you can recover the console.
Did you try to read the nor using a programmer?

Hi, first of all thank you for your answer. The chip was oxidized, one pad (pin 8, VCC) was completely gone, I was able to scrape the chip till I found a tiny copper wire. Now with a multimeter in diode mode I can read some value from all pads (except for the middle GND pad, strangely I don't even have continuity with the GND pin 4). I tried to read the chip using my CH341A but the power led fades and the pc doesn't recognize the programmer, everything works fine with other chips. I also tried to read the chip with my TL866II Pro, in this case the programmer works but doesn't recognize automatically the chip. If I manually select S25FL256L and try to read it I have a chip ID mismatch, deactivating the check ID function I'm able to read the chip but the content changes everytime, it doesn't not even look like a nor dump. :crushed:
