PS3 Custom firmware for the super slim CECH-4301C PS3 soon?

Hello so when the custom firmware comes out for the 3.xx and 4.xx PS3s does that mean it isn't backwards capable towards 2.xx and less? Which sorta means that if you have an older PS3 you brick it by installing CFW built only for the later consoles. Because of loader 2 these kinds of CFW only work with 3.60. I have a flash dump of my current HEN PS3: (link removed)
Might consider trying out the beta HEN.

i removed the download. you shouldn't share a full dump with everyone (only the log from checker app). it has your idps and other private numbers inside. only share full dump with a trusted person who is going to fix or check it for you.

ok sorry

You have a list of people I could ask for assistance for my flash dump?

I've just deleted it from Mediafire

Way too hesitant to install any Custom Firmware on my console without brick worries but at least I installed HFW

If it's a super slim then you cannot install CFW, only HEN. In fact, any slim PS3 with a minimum factory firmware of 3.60 or higher cannot install CFW, due to metldr2 which I believe you alluded to in your original post.

I plan to get a BC PS3 and maybe keeping my old super slim but can't find any place trustworthy of having them in good condition
You can try maybe getting a Japanese one. CFW allows you to freely change the console's region code so that's a non-issue.

Well BC PS3's are not known for being reliable anyhow. They require maintenance to keep in good condition. Replaced all my NEC Tokin caps, thermal paste twice a year even if I didn't play it since being applied and still got a YLOD & had to have it repaired. If you do not want to do a bit to keep the kit in good shape it is easier and cheaper with a higher compatibility rate to get a 2100/2500 model PS3 & a PS2.

This is my solution - a 2503A slim model PS3 and a slim PS2 (though not sure of the model off-hand). The games which will run well on the PS3 I rip as ISO and mount via webMAN MOD. For other non-compatible PS2 games I just use my old PS2 with component cables.
