PS3 DECR 1000a why both kernels cex

Hello to all joined site recently as i picked up a decr 1000a tool from a auction site for 69.99 as it was for parts, anyway I had 1 previously but bricked it with react psn some how due to my own stupidity, so I knew that chances were the seller didn't know how to boot in software, I received it few days ago did devnet thing got it to boot in ps3 mode it was on 4.60 so I put rebug lite on it and looked at the info and saw cex both kernels so my question is to use bdemu or USBemu I need to connect to pro- DG but I'm thinking that's only for dex consoles so could any one school me on what my options are? I'm not a programmer or dev I just like these tools for the industrial build and there cheap but would like to store my games on it . I have gta5 with modded RPF, gt6 ,gt5 and they work really well on this unit and signs in to psn too. Thanks mozzy
 
Hi thanks for your reply , but as i have decr 1000a and you have the console looking decr there bit different as in yours has dex kinda firmware that you can use cobra as i understand it my rebug tool box has no cobra option or cex to dex option as its pure deh i think ...not sure

If you installed firmware I linked in previous post then you should have option to enable cobra on DECR. Please read full info on site that I linked above. Everything related to your DECR (or "pure deh") is described there very well.

Anyway don't hesitate to ask question here if something there is not understandable for you. :)
 
had another look rebug toolbox let me dump eid key , but wouldnt restart ,got it started put eid key in rebug folder via ftp then tryd to rewrite target flash and it find root key but crashes black screen with x and o button at bottom of screen,restarts ok but after trying 3 times is obvious its not going to work so hmmmm... ,

Why are you need eid root key?
 
as i said already my decr 1000 the big 20 kg tool is on rebug lite its kernels are both cex, so to trz to change to dex you have to dump you eid root key then your ps3 beeps restarts normallz then you change to dex ive done it 50 times when downgrading, but because this ps3 tool does not restart after dumping root key i put the key in rebug folder and went back into rebug tb and it then found key said its all good i press x to convert and it just freeze the screen
 
Rebug links are working here, go to the bottom of the page, and you will see where it says the download count, click the title of the CFW, that will download a text file that contains the actual link to the PUP. Its possible the PUP you have was modified maybe?
 
Download proper firmware from Rebug site, or you will brick your DECR.. Also you should use toolbox included with firmware. IS ONLY TOOLBOX THAT SUPPORT DECR! That's why you see 2 cex kernels, because you are running toolbox not dedicated to that firmware/console.

Edit: I check firmware on place you downloaded it, and it looks ok. Anyway never use mirror when original source is available. Specially for not so cheap DECR.

Please go to "Package Installer" and find there rebug toolbox included with firmware. Install it, and check that you have now proper kernels detection.

And for god sake don't even try to convert it to anything like CEX/DEX etc. This is not retail console, and you can brick it that way.

i hear that i know deh is not cex or dex so i wouldnt put that firmware on.and toolbox should be right 2.02.10

could you link me to what firmware and toolbox you would use then bro

If you dont know where the link is on Rebug.me it would be hard to tell, it doesn't actually say its the download button anywhere unless hover over it.

@Joonie maybe that could be changed to indicate the download button better. I know it says "links and checksum", but with so much text it can be hard to see.
 
Well must be an issue on your end accessing that other site as that link works fine here.
