PS3 Delidding went wrong - 65NM RSX VER-001

Hey Guys,

I had an old account where I was once active but I forgot my credentials.
But great to be here again and with a "normal" username this time

Anyways as I was trying to delidd my RSX (which was really necessary btw) I knocked some caps off, which I dont really know the importance of. Does anyone have some experience with the CECHLxx and can tell me if they are important?

As far as I could tell the ones I knocked over near the MultiAV are connected to the RSX somehow. But I couldnt find out any function.

Im thinking about just bridging all of them with solder but thats kind of too risky, so if someone knows the μF of the caps, I would greatly apreciate it.

Sorry i am new here, and i do not have the tool yet to delid my 65nm and give you resistance values.
But here is what i can suggest. Find the board model. https://www.psdevwiki.com/ps3/SKU_Models
Once you have that. See if you can find a schematic for that board.
That should help you with the pieces that were knocked off on the board. if i see any resistance values for the 65nm RSX that are from the top of the chip. I will post them here. Good luck.

Hey there again, I dont know if this Thread has already been archived but might as well update it.

A while back I tried to fix said PS3 and lo and behold: Its working! Well sort of...

I bought a cheap book on AliExpress with all sorts of caps and resistors. I read the value of the nearby caps and replaced them with similar values. Sometimes the readings were way off but I just trusted the process and went with it.

Here are some examples of the not so professional soldering I did.
P.S.: To all the people reading wanting to delid with wire: Just use bent nailfile BUT sand it down very fine!!! (im a cheapass and didnt want to buy the tool. But it worked with the nail file!)

I very much guess so, that I was just lucky and knocked off some caps, that didnt have any function, or maybe its just a ticking Time Bomb. But for a 20 EUR PS3 with a molten shell I guess it is a ticking time Bomb already. (I think the dude that sold it to me tried the towel trick or something. I dont really know.)
The PS3 now has stable temps and is running GT6 without breaking the 65-70°C range. Very happy so far. Even with my mishap.

Unfortunaly, the BD-Drive didnt survive the torture of dissasembling and assembling the PS3 over and over again. I guess its the very weak plastic connector on the Mobo. But some CFW with no BD Drive and the problem was solved. Also upgraded the HDD to a 750GB one so I can play Backups becouse of the before mentioned fact.
