PS2 Devmod for ps2?

hi I got a question conserning my fat ps2 i want to know if i can use it as a ps-tool or a ps2test? I'm just curious of what's possible with the debug options from the tool and i do not have the money to buy a developer console ps2 (ps-tool,ps2test,...) and if so can i still use fmcb if it could be done?

and if its not possible is there anyway to get access to those options?
 
PS2 TEST unit = That unit is physically identical (save firmware) to the launch day USA system, and can run backup games, so nothing else.

The PS2 TOOL-KIT "that's it !" can debugging games, and full access everithing, has 128mb of ram instead of 32 MB, it has hella different hardware and much more specification..
These units has NON reflash bios chipset, so you can't do anything :/
 
With that said is it possible to change my firmware to a test one ? And if so is it possible to do it with mechapwn or am i in the nuts completely?
 
Test kit are different than devkit, test-kit = same as retail but can read CDR/DVDR
PS2-TOOL (devkit) have 8 MB ram for IOP memory
so test-kit does not have enough ram to load drivers on IOP for DECI2, then how could run it ?
 
Closest you can get with a normal PS2:
  • MechaPwn it
  • Use FMCB&FHDB&HDD-OSD&BB.Navi
  • Add EE-SIO
  • Add IOP-SIO
  • Use appropriate tools/software... PS2Link, Kermit, OPL DEBUG, etc.
 
Anyway without breaking my head for instant debug menu ? I mean i dont know how to use c++ and i want debug in burnout revenge just to play around
