Hi everyones
Im asking myself a question tonight
Did you think (any of members opinion is truly important) that 13-14 years after the initial release year a PS3 CECHA01 will worth the price if seller state that the unit is working flawlessly without any issue and still have the warranty sticker on it ?
I have two consoles : CECH-2001a ( I know i damaged this one at the start of my jailbreak experience since i was not knowing entirely what i was doing wrong (ex playing PS2 ISO for hours without webman mod/fan !)
and a CECH-2501a
my best friend is interested in buying one of my consoles.
I must admit that I bought two (one as back up just in case because lets be honest its harder and harder with years passing ...not knowing on what you will stumble (online order) I read such many nightmare from PS3 used consoles buyers , its incredible. people have no honor theses days and will sell you their shit packaged inside a PS3 carboard box if they can...
Im lurking the iday of accepting to sell it to him my CECH-2501a he know i have not abused this console wich was bought brand new and mostly unused ...since i always desired a CECHA1 after having seen one at a collegue place several years ago (+10) the SD card reader &...AND...the damn 4 USB port not mentionning the Emotion Engine....!
Did you think its resonable to make a move like this , selling my CECH-2501a to buy a CECHA1 that 'seem' to be in pretty pretty darn solid condition considering its age ?
Did i will have to ABSOLUTELLY replace the thermal paste versus maybe never on my CECH-2501 if i keep it in his box and only use it as a back up replacement when my 2001a will decide to have received enough heat...

i have activated the dynamic for the fan
auto at 50 degree C
fan speed min 40% -%80. max
PS2 Emulator : 80% fan speed
right now after 4 hours of PS1 playing & watching news using youtube the fan speed run at 53%
CPU : 48 C
RSX : 49 C
But its true that (for the very first time of my life) i put a vertical air blower at average force in front of my running console. (that must help)
Did you think its possible to get theses number on the CECHA1 i have in mind
without changing the termal paste if TRULY the console is almost unused ?!
(quickly jailbreak it and install webmanmod!)
OR you consider theses bahamut initial construction to INEVITABELY overheat quickly , or quicker than the slim models ?!
What you would personally do at my place ?
