PS3 Disc drive won't read non-game discs

I opened up my backwards compatible PS3 to change the thermal paste. However when I put it back together, it stopped reading non-game discs.

To some up, it does read:

- PS1 game discs
- PS2 game discs
- PS3 game discs
- PS3 dual-layered game discs

It does not read:

- Music CDs
- DVD Films
- Blu Ray Films

What can be the cause?

EDIT: I was just really dumb and forgot that to select audio CDs and video DVDs/Blu-Rays I needed to go to the Music and Video columns in the XMB menu...
