PS3 Do Keyboards work in the PS3 browser?

I was trying to play flash games in the PS3 browser and the keyboard was not working and I thought it was strange. I understood that it was possible to play flash games on the PS3. This video mentions that it was a feature that was removed in the new version of the browser.
Can anyone confirm this?
Would it be possible to add it back or at least use an old version of the browser?

I followed the instructions in the video and managed to get the keyboard to work. but only the arrow keys. It can also be controlled with the joystick dpad
