PS3 Does OFW ruin jailbreak?

I have a CECH2101A that I modded yesterday. I installed Ferrox, multiman and one game I played the game a few times, everything was fine.

I needed to upgrade the tiny hard drive. So I deleted the one game so the process would be quicker when I backed up the HD using system utilities. That was useless when I installed the new 750GB hard drive. I just got a message telling me to press start and select to install system firmware. The machine would not recognize CFW, so I installed OFW 4.82.

When the machine rebooted again, it would not reinstall CFW. I just kept getting "corrupted data" at around 70%. Nothing I tried, worked. So I reinstalled the old hard drive. The machine booted up fine. But the CFW was not working. When I would click on multiman, I would get error 80010017. So I reinstalled the jailbreak. It would claim a successful patch of the NOR, but when I went to reinstall the FW, the machine would not recognize it, let alone attempt to install it. And I still get the 80010017 error with multiman.

Did I ruin my jailbreak? Is there some way to fix this?

Once you install CFW you should never need to go back to OFW, if you do you must run the exploit again. You should have installed CFW when switching the hdd, not OFW. Putting in the old hdd after installing OFW is not really good idea, as then you have mixed OFW/CFW.

You should put in the new drive, then install CFW (if its currently exploited). If Rebug wont install try another 4.82 CFW like ferrox.

If no CFW will install then you need to run the exploit again.

Thanks for the reply. As it turns out, my hard drive was corrupted. I finally tried a different hard drive and was able to reinstall Ferrox CFW with no issues. Reinstalled multiman and it works fine now.
