Downloading pkg files directly to internal hdd from XMB

Thinking about including a link to the normal official XMB packages too. Like this:

homebrew package downloader.jpg
official package downloader.jpg

The only thing im missing now is a list of pkgs :)

well since your using music xil I think Spotify goes without saying, but I don't think I was ever able to No PSN it, as for the 2 you have pictured I think there's No PSN versions of those still around.

Dammit another thing I need to add to my list, try and update No PSN apps

Now can someone please post the correct "old" XML files so I don't have to do a reinstall of CFW to get the CFW Tools back? I swore I backed them up last night but seems I didn't upon digging through the flash drive. If this can co-exist with both it would be amazing. DeViL303 I prefer the Network category over music though but I hope we can have both not just one or another but impressive work nonetheless.

Got one HUGE suggestion can you fix the fact that v0.05 breaks CFW Tools on Rebug 4.78.1 REX Cobra 7.2? While your XML works great it has totally removed CFW tools from my system.

Mode Rebug Retail/CEX QA

I swore I backed them up last night but seems I didn't upon digging through the flash drive, took a long time to mod all my RCO's and don't have quick access to the system. Like pulling teeth till my CECH-2501A returns as it is having a teensy++ perma installed thanks to littlebalup's TEENSY2PS3 board I had made and now installed. The one in my CECHB-01 works great, really nice to have instant access to flash my NAND/NOR's now as I opted out of having dual boot as I am not a fan of the external ESATA as I am afraid my kid might knock it over. My cat already caused a brick knocking the power wire loose swapping from 4.78.1 to 4.21.1 firmwares. If this can co-exist with both it would be amazing. it's in Network, just using xil from music

No the first private build I had was in music that is what I was referring to is all bud. It is in the network category using the latest files but my CFW tools is now missing from the network category.

I prefer network too, theres enough stuff going on in game as it is IMO.

Adding CFW tools back is no problem.

Ive sent ye both a pm with latest US version (doesn't include official apps for now) but does include 3 category network xmls, so you can have:
1. CFW Settings and XMB Package Downloader
2. Just CFW Settings
3. Just XMB Package Downloader

atreyu187 You will want the one called "category_network_rebug_cfw_settings_and_homebrew_downloader_enabled.xml" , just rename to "category_network.xml" and it will give you both options.

Yeah im not sure about Spotify yet. I will need to figure out how to use the "xil://localhost/item?" command first I think.

Turning out to have the "perfect" XMB for me.

Homebrew Downloaded (easy access to updates)
CFW Tools (speaks for itself)
XMBM+ (tweaks neatly hidden)
Rebug PKG manager (hides PSN bubbles I keep for my PSTV)
app_home removed (well mostly)
webMAN MOD (handles games/videos)

Now I just have to find out what I messed up adding XMBM+ as on Rebug Debug DEX/CEX QA I have app_home/GAME now instead of just app_home which I wanted removed and my PSN bubbles show up on DEX. When Rebug/Normal Retail DEX/CEX QA PSN bubbles are hidden and app_home is gone. Not really a big deal as I use Rebug Retail CEX QA 99% if the time to limit access for my kid. More of an eye sore if anything. And with the new PS3 Lock plugin my PS3 is safe from prying hands except mine but that is why I had teensy++ perma installed on my B-01 and 2501A systems. I love how Rebug made the abity to disable and enable Mysis CFW Tools as well as aldos cosmetic face lift. Great time for the PS3 community.

I think there is something small wrong with the xmls in rebug 4.78.1 and that's whats causing the issues with icons etc, conflicting keys or something like that. Its probably the same reason XMBM+ was left out of debug menu and I think the same reason I was having trouble with my Rebug w/XMBM+ built in PUP on DEX XMB. Id say it will be sorted in the next edition.

What ive noticed is that the DEX XMB doesn't seem to be reading from category_game_tool2.xml in this version like normal, but its possible im just going mad. :)

You're not going mad, there's definitely something different from previous versions going on here.
Nobody seems to know why so far...

has anybody tried using a game_tool2 xml from a previous FW, that's what I did, I'll have to check the xmls more closely to see exactly what $0nY did differently in the 2 as cosmetically on the XMB I see no difference

Well yeah, I used your cobra tools v2.00 to install XMBM+ and worked from there, and it is working ok for me. I know bguerville said you lose some thing by using cobratools but if I did it was nothing I noticed or cared about.

I didn't have any luck just working with rebug 4.78.1 files and XMB extras package though.

HxD plus hex compare is what I use to know what's changed. there were/r changes with category_game on 4.78 compared with 4.76. what will work depends on the specific file. a lot of xml, rco, sprx, perhaps even the vsh.self work on different firmware, and I say work in that it doesn't cause a soft brick. a lot of graphical issues r assured though. using incorrect files could be a red flag with sony. though, it sounds like the games/apps used r what sony is looking at if people can go years of signing into psn without being caught.
