PS3 Dragon Ball Raging Blast 2 Remastered (mod)

68gGJQw.png

Dragon Ball Raging Blast 2 Remastered mod that I started over a year ago, in this mod I have replaced textures and shaders to get a cel shading effect, in addition to imitating the colors of the typical illustrations of the 90s, but I am not only limited to this, it also has the music changed by the one from the Japanese anime, energy attacks and bigger energy auras, and I want to replace all the illustrations of the game.
obviously the mod is not finished, since I have continuously made restarts until I find an aspect that I like and is more appropriate for video games, the mod is still in progress.

Hi, I just installed your raging tool but I don't know how to execute it even with python could you explain to me and if by chance you speak French it will be the best .

hello, I belong to a group of modders and a member of this group has developed a tool to modify the Dragon Ball games of PS3:
Dragon Ball Raging Blast, Dragon Ball Raging Blast 2 and Ultimate Tekaichi, the tool called Raging Tools has been developed by my friend adsl14, here is the link

https://github.com/adsl14/Raging-tools

This tool is capable of importing and extracting textures, shaders, and other types of files within the zpak (zpak is pak with another different encoding), you can do wonderful things, such as import shaders from Raging Blast 1 (they had a great cel shading) to Raging Blast 2 giving a much better appearance, also extract for example textures or models that later we can modify through other tools.
What's the matter?
because it works excellent in the RPCS3 emulator, worse in the PS3 console itself crashes when trying to show the modified character, we still do not know the cause of this, since as I said in emulator it works perfect.

here are some examples of modding, and we would love it if it could also work on the real console

You could try run it with a debug Cobra payload and Socat. You might be able to see something that helps there. I can help someone to set that up if required, it's easy.

It will give you information while the game runs something like what is shown in this video,

Man it only took a full year for anyone to respond to him I'm guessing you saw my comment just now.

I hope he sees this then. Cause I doubt he will notice your reply after all this time.
Anyone with the game can take his tool, try mod some textures, then use a Cobra debug payload to see what happens when it doesn't work correctly. If you are lucky there will be some information there that helps.

I have no clue how any of this works, or what cobra does.

After a long time, I edited the thread with images of my own mod, the mod also works on PS3 ;-)

I only had to edit the mipmaps of the textures, and some other adjustments. I'll be editing the thread as I progress in the mod.

Would be nice an after and before comparison

This is how Raging Blast 2 should've looked. This looks fantastic. Is work still being done on this project and will there be an easy step-by-step tutorial to install once it's completed?
