I think I've heard of this before or at least that it was being designed. I think Lightning Mods was a member here too, but he hasn't posted in a long time. he added his toolbox for the ps4, an app where you can do several things iirc.

Gives a promising outlook on future development of the ps4 homebrew scene .

Specter said they're working on making 7.5x as reliable as 5.05, but I have bad luck with 5.05 myself. I think success or failure has to do with what's going on in memory.

Maybe there is a way to cancel background memory somehow

I just recently, yesterday in fact, found out how to change the boot up sound like the coldboot one on the ps3. however, the sandisk connect seems to have issues overriding the file. it's called bgm_main.at9, and it's located in preinst/priv/systembgm. I'm going to try the file manager. I made one for the ps3 startup sound, but I could only get the converter to do 144Kb. any higher and it resulted in a 0KB file.

So a different sound file 144kb only?

I converted the official sound byte from coldboot_stereo.ac3 to an mp3, then I tried converting it to at9. that's when it would only convert up to 144Kb or else a 0KB file would appear. I don't even know if it works. it's much smaller than the official sound.

If it works it could yell some explicit comment...lol

@Yugonibblit , I got the file to transfer with orbis ftp port 1337, but it kp'd after turning off the system. I just dumped about 8 themes, so I was really working the system. :P it wasn't a sandisk connect issue at all. it was a permissions issue of some sort despite the permissions for the file being everything (777). it wouldn't work with lapy's ps4 xplorer either, but orbis ftp worked. you open it and it takes you to home menu with a new message and port. I didn't save it (replaced w/ ps5 boot sound, then placed the ps4 one back). I had to get out of the folder to see the difference in size.
