Hi All,
I was cleaning up my PS3 which included putting some rubbing alcohol on the chips.
I left it for a few hours and when I returned noticed that the Emotion Engine chips looks marked and is rough to the touch.
would something else have caused this (perhaps one of my screwdrivers touched it when I was turning the motherboard over and I did not notice)?
Is it damaged and if so, is it anything to worry about?
Pictures attached, the area in question is the black dot towards the top right of the chip.
Also when I was putting the motherboard back into the case it dropped a bit and made a thud. Will this have damaged the fan?
