PS4 Emus

Hey guys!

Where can i found emus to use them in PS2-FPKG_v0.6?
For example, I need to find parappa v1 for playing Beat Down: Fists of Vengeance.

Thanks a lot!

In Your bought games from store. Decrypt them and there You will find emulators.

Might be kinda hard if he is on current firmware version(10.01). Parappa 2 didn't get a physical release on Limited Run, so dumping digital is only way.(current method to dump 10.01 games is private)

Could someone please explain the ISO dumping process at least? or point towards the post or forum which is explaining it how to do it.

I haven't been in the ps4 scene for over a year, but I think itemzflow is the preferred method now. It will dump content to a folder.

Sorry, but it doesn't seem like a Windows-based software. My search showed me a package app from Homebrew for PS4 and this only is a UI-based app. My idea was that I might need software on my Windows PC to extract the content of ISO.

if you mean "pkg" instead of "iso" then all you need is "orbis-pub-chk.exe".

Okay, is there a post topic discussion which explains the process? I am a noob.

FYI I'm same person just using iOS app to respond.

I'm afraid I've never used it. However, LM works closely with modded warfare. Look up modded warfare on YouTube for a video guide on dumping games with itemzflow. I can almost bet there is one.

I tried the itemzflow and managed to dump a game already installed on the system. So, I just have one question.

In a scenario, when I have made an fpkg ps2 game(Ex: Red Faction 2) file from an ISO using the PS2-FPKG v0.7 software. While doing so I selected Jak v2 as the emulator and finally, I installed the pkg file on the PS4 console(Irrelevant of whether the game was working or not).
After that, I dumped the same game using itemzflow on a USB pen drive. Now, I have got the pkg game file in folder format. So the emu inside the folder is Jak v2 or Red Faction 2?

If I understand you correctly, it would be the jak v2 emulator. The pkg you install on the console is identical, same md5, as what will be on the console afterwards. It just extracts the Metadata, and copies over the pkg, renaming it to app.pkg iirc. If you dumped the game again, it would have the same emulator, but repackaging the game would result in a different size due to encryption and compression.

That is what I have thought so.
So what if I will use PS2 Classic GUI version 1.0.0.28 now. As it does not give any option for selecting the emulator in it.
What will be the emu in that case for Red Faction II?

FYI I have installed fpkg of the Red Faction II game using PS2 Classic GUI and the game is working fine. So, should I dump it now on USB using itemzflow to get the emu from it?

I don't know which emu it will be. This conversation is getting confusing, because it's hard to tell if you're talking about official ps2 classics or ones you've made. If it works fine, I'd keep it as is.

No I mean ISO, need a tool or method to extract the emu from PS2 ISO image. Please tell me something.
That's not how it works. Unlike the ps3, the ps4 ps2 classics et al contain an emulator self to use with the iso. The ps4 doesn't have a built-in emulator in the system software. You need to dump the ps4 game from your system to get access to its emulator. You'd have to sign in to buy these games, unless they're already on your system. Orbis-pub-chk could decrypt these game packages, but unless you dumped the game yourself, it would be piracy and against site rules.

no, it would be jakv2. the emu flle is not available on ps2 disc (it did not exist then).

Thanks for clearing these things up guys. I was mistaken about emu being part of the ISO itself. I understand now, apologies I am just new to these things.
