Hey everyone,
Yesterday I was using my PS3 (2504B, CFW compatible) and opened a homebrew application (I use regularly) which after opening my PS3 just died and gave no signal. It had no red light for power - rather I had to press it 2 times for the red light to return.
When I turned it on, it gave me a basic rebuild database error but I skipped it.
When I looked the symptom up yesterday, it said it might be a power supply issue,
Today I wanted closure so I checked PS3toolset and it shows error A0805FFF. PS3 dev wiki says that this is either CELL or RSX
(Edit: It can also be for an error on NOR, however I did not even touch the NOR flash memory, I only use ps3toolset to read and never write [as I am planning to do CFW after hdd swap])
My PS3 has never done this before and the ROS banks match anyways. I will do another dump and compare it to my previous one in the PyPS3checker as well.
But I want to know, I know HDD is on its way out, but is the RSX on its way as well?
This is my childhood ps3 btw
Checked in pyPS3checker & checked the logs individually. There are no differences between the last log and this one.
Could it still indicate a dying RSX?
