Error 80023017 while trying to signin into psn for activating new console

I've tried EVERYTHING! Installing OFW, trying to create new account.. I'm just setting up a new PS3 system that was given to me. It's a slim model and I'm pretty sure that the previous owner never hack it before as it came with system version 4.21. I just don't know how to activate it in order to proceed to HEN afterwards and If someone have a hint on what this error is. I've seen plenty of videos and threads and no specific way to solve it.

if you want, you can do an offline activation on HEN using Apollo Save tool.

Just remember to have webman mod available to restore the fake act.dat file on reboot.

(Install HEN, install webman mod, install Apollo, do the offline activation. No need to connect to the network at all.)

Thanks a lot for the prompt reply. I didn't expected to be this quick. Actually this is more than appropriate. I'm in Cuba and for some reason the Only ISP in the country have blocked PSN. I'll work my way with Apollo save tool. Thanks a lot

Happy to hear that Apollo solved your issue. I know how complicated going online can be in Cuba, so I'm glad to know that Apollo worked.

A small side note: Webman mod can be skipped if you install an updated PS3HEN.BIN with a patch to restore the fake act.dat on boot, but if you enjoy webman mod as much as I do, then there's no need to change anything.

Thank you again. Yes I found the thread regarding the modified Ps3hen.bin but I'm an active user of webman mod and honestly I had it installed as soon as I put hen on the ps3. Thanks
