PS3 ERROR #8002F2F0 (PS3)

English translation:

It's now 2026.

For over 5 years, I've had this #8002F2F0 error when I turn on the console.

I've tried many methods I found online. To this day, there are no solutions available.

I don't remember the firmware version. All I know is that the console was hacked, and then suddenly nothing worked with the hack. (I couldn't play PS2, PS1, etc. games.) Only PES worked.

So I decided to reset the console's hard drive using my PC... after putting the hard drive back in the console, I've had this error ever since.

The PS3 still works perfectly without any other problems, and the hard drive is fine. I tried with another hard drive that wasn't installed on it, and I tried installing the latest firmware, but I still get the same error.

I tried replacing the hard drive with one from a working PS3 that had games installed... The error still appeared.

I removed the hard drive and tried turning it on by itself. The error persists.

IT'S 2026, AND THERE'S STILL NO SOLUTION TO THIS???

Please reply in any language; I'll use a translator. Thank you!

Original Post:

Merci !

it seems to me that this error can be caused by failing flash chips or bad hardware flashing. if it is a failing chip, you may not be able to read from it now. without a full nand/nor backup from years ago, you may not be able to fix it even if you replace the chip. (you need data from that chip that is different on every console.)

Are you on CFW? Can you do a NOR/NAND dump with a flasher or homebrew and run it through the dump checker tool?

@Coro if the per-console data is good, one could 'piece together' a working dump if its another region of the flash that is bad. This is why I keep NOR/NAND dumps of all my consoles, on the off-chance something like this happens. If the chip is bad causing issues with a dump, then it could be replaced but it is a soldering job not for a beginner. If the per console metldr area has been lost, sadly the console is a brick.

Also wondering if the blu-ray logic board is working? You need a working logic board to install firmware or you will get errors, but it can be an unmarried one if needed, then you can remarry if you jailbreak to CFW using bgtoolset (do not install OFW higher than 4.92 atm).
