Thanks.
Follow the instructions regarding the initialization issues provided in the HAN Tools v3.0 release thread OP & you won't have this problem.
Important:
To get best results initializing the exploit, remember to load the pages directly in a clean browser session. Never browse to an exploit page from other pages & never use a homepage other than blank or the exploit page you wish to use.

We recommend to:
1. Go to the ps3 browser homepage option & choose blank homepage.
2. Create favourites to HAN Enabler & the other HAN pages you wish to use.
3. Restart the browser.
4. Use the favourites to access any page from complete scratch.
5. Reload the browser between exploits.

Ok. But do I have to use HAN 3.0 for CECH-2011A ?
No, not if your console is cfw compatible, you need to confirm with MinVerChk even on an early slim to be 100% sure.
In this case you should use the ps3xploit Flash Writer 2.0 to jailbreak it & install a CFW. You can follow the steps I described in this post, do not omit anything. http://www.psx-place.com/index.php?posts/108103
Once on CFW, you have no need for HAN 3.0 anymore.
I only pointed you to those instructions regarding exploit initialization in the HAN release thread because they also said apply to the initialization of Flash dumper/writer 2.0.

Ok, thanks for the steps.

What do I have to do if I get ros warning? Reinstall 4.82 OFW?
After flashing the console with ps3xploit Flash Writer, a dump validation giving only 1 ros warning while the other ros is validated as ps3xploit 4.82 is a perfectly acceptable result, you can go ahead with cfw installation.
Any more warnings or errors & you should keep the ps3 switched on (no reboot) while you ask us for guidance.
Don't reinstall 4.82 without our say so.

Hello.

I'm using the HDD method with online web server. Does dump.jpg has 8KB of size? The offline method gives me dump.hex with 16.384KB. These files should be the same file?

dump.hex log (offline, MiniWeb, saving to USB):
Code:
Total number of checks = 156
Number of dangers = 0
Number of warnings = 0
All checks done in 7.29 seconds.

dump.jpg (renamed to dump.hex - online using ps3xploit dot com menu, saving to HDD):
Code:
ERROR: unable to determine flash type! It doesn't seem to be a valid dump.

PS3xploit website:
Dump to USB: OK (dump.hex 16.384KB)
Dump to HDD: Maybe faile (dump.jpg with 8KB)

You cannot trust the XMB to give you the size of the dump file. When the image file is downloaded, the thumbnail & file size are stored by the system. The stored information is then used by the XMB display.
You must first transfer the file to USB & rename it to dump.hex or dump.bin.
Only then will you be able to check the size & the contents of the file.
If the transferred dump file is not 16Mb, the dump operation was not completed properly. You downloaded the dump.jpg file to the HDD but are you sure you completed the rest of the operation?
If you did, the exploit page will have returned an error & not a successful dump message!

I did it! Now it's running Rebug CFW! Thanks! <3
What I did:
First, I tested all tools:
1) set ps3xploitDOTcom/dumper/index_nor.html as default page, did the "CLEAN PROCESS" and restar browser
2) created a dump (16MB) to USB (HDD dump was 8K, so something was going wrong) and checked with PyPS3checker (githubDOTcom/littlebalup/PyPS3tools)
3) output like this:
Code:
Total number of checks = 156
Number of dangers = 0
Number of warnings = 0
Ok, the original dump (not patched yet) and the dump checker (PyPS3tools) it's working fine!
Now, the real process!
1) I put flash_482.hex in root usb stick, checked MD5 hash of the file (d05be52f8d21700052fbd1fc0174acae) and put USB stick on the nearest BD drive port
2) Go to ps3xploitDOTcom/writer/index_nor.html
3) Click on "Initialize Exploitation"
4) Click "Patch NOR Flash Memory" - NOT REBOOT YET
5) ps3xploitDOTcom/dumper/index_nor.html
6) Dump to USB (dump.hex)
7) Check the dump, something like this again:
Code:
Total number of checks = 156
Number of dangers = 0
Number of warnings = 0
8) In my case, ZERO WARNINGS or ERRORS
9) Reboot the system and install Rebug CFW
Always doing the "CLEAN PROCESS" before entering an URL!!!

Clean process? What's that?
If you mean clearing cache & cookies, it's pointless. All you need to do is load the exploit page from a clean browser ie set the homepage as the exploit page & restart the browser OR set the homepage as blank, restart the browser & launch the exploit from a previously made browser favourite.

Regarding the hdd dump, it works just fine & reliably, you simply made a mistake. It cannot give a success message while not writing to the dump file.

Also users should always install ofw 4.82 twice before using the flash writer to avoid possible errors down the line during cfw installation.

Anyway, glad to hear you completed the jailbreak process, enjoy your CFW. ;)

Happy gaming!
