PS3 Error when launching games

when i install any pkg call of duty i get an error (80010017) when launching it im on 2.82 rebug DEX. my Blue ray drive is broken idk if that may have anything to do with it

You need to either get a working BD daughter board or install a No-BD patched firmware and they will work. Only the PS3 models CECH-25XXA/B systems and up can work with a dead BD drive.

thanks for the info. if i get a replacement blueray drive can i remarry the drive?

U need daughter board not the drive and r u sure that the daughter board is not working,?

as far as i know its just a mechanical issue i think the board is fine

If the daughter board is okay, u don't need any no-bd firmware. This error occurs when there is a change in eboot. R u using purchased content or something else??
