My nickname is composed of two names: "Guillote" (which comes as a friendly exaggeration of me as a person) and "Tesla" (which was my nickname at College because of my skills in Physics).

My avatar comes from way back the MSN Messenger era. It was one of the free pictures available in the extended online gallery to pick up from. For example, the Windows XP Rocket Launch account image comes from this same gallery.

You have owl in avatar now. As I know owl is a symbol of wisdom. You choose avatar with this knowledge? If not, I could only imagine how good you are in terms of physics. Owl is powerful animal so your nickname from the past wasn't a mistake.

"Daszak" and "dazzaXx" sounds/reads/writes quite similar.

Wow... it has been so many years since I created this username. It must have been around 15 or more years ago that I showed up at the Official Nintendo forum website and needed a username so that I could participate on their forum. Visiting the Nintendo site today, it looks like their forum is no longer available.

The problem with it being so long ago, is that I cannot really remember how or why I came up with this name. What I do know is that my first name begins with T, and so I started with that. As for the thousand... perhaps it was because it was the early 2000's, or perhaps it was because I was a fan of the T-1000 terminator series, or perhaps for a whole other reason that I cannot remember.

As for my current avatar... well, when PSX-Scene was still around and thriving, I helped create the GTV Mod Team. I used to make these types of avatars for all the members. So that explains the T*... and as for the background... well, I thought it looked like something that came from a T-1000. I feel like it goes great with my signature... to me it looks like it could be the tear running down the cheek of the T-1000 that landed and splatted.

I don't agree as you do not take cultural aspects for consideration. Owls in Japan for example change its meaning with time (e.g. in 19th century from western culture we took... wisdom).

I have been around in PSX scene since 1999.

In games we need "tools" to do different things (convert saves, organize games, hack games, etc.).
I have been doing all kind of tools for PSX/PS3... Bobbi from psxemu.com suggested my nick in 2000.
Before that I used the nick "Aldo Vargas": my real name.

My sister's name was Aoi aka Shark-Sis for me. She didn't use a nickname. I don't know why exactly. Never asked. Probably because we don't use here Japanese. So you could consider it as a 'blue color'.

My name is Akaia and I'm Bloody-Sis what some members already know.

Our names are very rare. Especially mine.

Avatar is Konata from 'Lucky Star' anime series. I know it's not interesting (especially for someone not familiar with this title or anime at all) but I asked her one day why Konata and not Kagami and she answered Konata is in her opinion a character which joins our personalities in some special way.

It's hard to write about it at the moment but many of you did it so if I participate in this topic I get a deep breath and write about it too.

I'm very happy to be here as I don't sink in sorrow as much like for last months thanks to PSX-Place community. I'm glad I'm here. The plan was different because I just want to finish what my sister started and gone to my own world.

I was born in 2003 so it's amazing because I heard about you from Aoi. I mean she told me about psxemu, Bleem! etc. I remember name Aldo Vargas very well. It is a honour to meet you. As you can imagine she started 'teaching' me about it around 2015.

Generally my Shark-Sis never want me to be a kind of 'young' gamer who don't know history of gaming. She has her own way and specialization but interested in games and PlayStation scene mainly because of emulators. She always says there will be a time when gamers loose a battle when it comes to quality and people engaged in creation of emulators were very important for many reasons. I start understanding her when I was older.
Long story short.

She joined to community because Sony won this battle with PlayStation 3 (digital copies, encryption and such things I am not familiar with). Nintendo is even worse not only because of this.

I knew it will be interesting story. Thank you for sharing links and your time. I was surprised when I saw you here to be honest.

I didn't know that the owl is a symbol of wisdom, thank you for the insight Akaia!. Actually, I've picked it because of the colour contrast of the bird and it was an uncommon avatar at the time (Google Images was in its diapers).

I'm sorry for late answer but I must read about meaning of 'hunch' word and I edited my post few times. It's almost 01:00 AM but because I'm very emotionally tired I can't sleep.

'Hunch' is a good word and I will remember it.

In my own words it's like some kind of 'paranormal feeling'. You didn't know about something related to owls but choose it. You think about it in a logic way:

but your soul/heart/brain/character (you can call it like you want) done it for yourself.

To be clear. I think it comes to every of us. I am not a psychologist but I'm far more sensitive and fragile than my Shark-Sis was.
