PS3 External harddrive size

What is the biggest external (NTFS formatted) harddrive size you can use on a HEN jailbreaked PS3 using multiman's NTFS plugin?

Have searched for this info but not found a clear answer.

2 TB... If you have a larger drive, you would need to make a partition of 2 TB
I have a 8 TB Seagate that didn't work until I partitioned to 2 TB (wasted 6TB), I then decided to put this on my server (look up PS3NETSRV) to break that limitation
*Note some people reported problem with some drives not being recognized at all on the PS3
