Fallout 3 freeze opening a door

During Bethesda's E3 Show i was amazed by Fallout 4 so i thought it was a good idea to play Fallout 3 before the release.
This game got me hooked, i played around 40+ Hours and i think i didnt even completed half of the game until this freeze. It's a main quest, i have to go to inside a building, open a door to another area inside this building do something and go back. The problem is that if i go back and open this door the game freeze. I loaded an older save before i went into this building and if i dont activate the quest i can safely open that door, but not with the quest going on.
The point is that in this game, being an RPG, saves are very personal and it's not the same as with a save from another player.

I tried everything, delete and reinstall it's data, load it old style with cobra disabled, tried to complete other side quests and going back, nothing.

I'm currently running Rebug 4.75.3 but i dont think it makes any difference, also the game code is BLES00740

I remember that Deank was using some kind of debugger to get Shadow of Mordor working on cobra, can it be useful to understand my problem? maybe [MENTION=29]Joonie[/MENTION] can help?

Upload your save and tell me which manager you have used and also try other cfws as well

Basically i tried everything, webMAN 1.43.04, multiman 4.76.00, Managunz 1.23, IRISMAN 3.49.

If i load the game in folder format on both cobra and non cobra mode (with or without mamba) i get a "no default string. Must be loaded from .ini file" string instead of "loading trophies" and then black screen even if both iso and jb versions of the game have only 2 ini files and they are the exact same.

Loading the iso with every manager i listed loads fine on both cobra or non cobra (mamba) but i still get that door issue.

Ok. I did a quick test with the folder format; non GOTY edition of Fallout 3 [US with 1.61 update. I did not get any issue with launching so far.

Currently tested on 4.76.1 LITE /w COBRA 7.1, and webMAN MOD 1.43.02 REBUG EDITION, the game is mounted from an external hdd that has both FAT32/NTFS partitions.

[btw, I verified the rip with 3K3Y's isotool by using IRD file. All hashes of files are 100% the same as original disc]

I'll soon try GOTY edition as well. and will let you know when I can. I'm not sure if the save file is backward compatible or not I will try to convert the save file to make it work with non GOTY edition.

From the research I had, I learned that GOTY edition seems to have more problems than non GOTY edition.

spu thread has stopped for some reason.. however I had no issue with launching games with folder format on both normal/Goty btw this game needs bd-mirroring.

Maybe the issue is coming from textures? hmm.

After dumping again the game i got it working in folder format however i noticed a strange behavior.

When i run the game in folder format, game datas are automatically deleted and never installed again, looking from the name of the files i suppose that the installed data are the dlc's files so the game loads fine.
When i run the game in iso format for the first 5 times it takes a while to load my save because its installing the dlc (there are 5 dlc so 5 separate installations ).
Anyway i don't think the problem has anything to do with iso/jb loading so i'll just go on.

Next, i have extracted this "FALLOUT - TEXTURES.BSA" file, and it wasn't easy, because all of the tools to extact Bethesda Softworks Archive are made for pc and they fail to extract my ps3 archive because the hashes of the files inside do not match with the one preloaded on these tools and they just fail to extract, anyway i found one that has an option to skip the hash check and it works.
Inside FALLOUT - TEXTURES.BSA /textures/characters/male there are only these files:

Looks like i can't find any DDS file :(

I tried to copy /TEXTURES/CHARACTERS/MALE to /dev_hdd0/game/BLES00740/USRDIR/DATA/ , and i still got the freeze.

I tried messing with debugger and such, didn't have any luck but then I found a lot of testimonial regarding this freezing issue with certain quests.

Their solution was playing other quests and came back to the main quest then it fixed the problem, or fast travel around the maps then came back also fixed the issue..

I think I'm done at this point.. =_+

Little update for [MENTION=29]Joonie[/MENTION], i converted the game to be compatible with the pc version of the game (basically just decrypt and rename the save) and posted it on Steam and reddit to see if someone can open the door and save, got a save from inside, converted the game back to PS3 version, the save loads "fine" but it leads to black screen so i asked this guy to just complete the entire quest for me. I'll keep you updated. Thanks again for your help.
