FB Neo RL Plus

PS3 FB Neo RL Plus v2.30

Still need to hold down Triangle when booting Amiga games if you're on a NTSC PS3, like in the standalone version - @Crystal, you should mention that in the info.

I would like to see MSX work - been wanting to play the original versions of Snatcher and Metal Gear for awhile (RetroArch blueMSX can almost-but-not-quite play these, keyboard isn't mapped correctly). Also the true sequel to Metal Gear, Metal Gear 2: Solid Snake (it's also the prequel to Metal Gear Solid) is on MSX.

Compiled blueMSX (after fixing a couple of issues) .... Metal Gear works...

I think keyboard can be mapped correctly....

I tried that with the standalone version, but it didn't work. Not sure if it will work with this version (I will be off-line for awhile, somebody else might want to test this).

Just for curiosity... do you have your PS3 attached to an analog TV?
Still differences NTCS & PAL with modern digital TV? HD/Full HD/4k TVs are NTCS in america
/Asia and PAL in Europe? Isn't the same standards nowadays?

I tested it right now and not worked because there is already another line
Code:
ntsc=false
Must be only one (true)

I read that isn't easy use blueMSX libretro core about keyboard....but should be a workaround:

it seems that fbneo rl plus interface is so "heavy" to ps3 handle.
I had some slowdowns and command delays.

At the moment, I ll stick to older fba next versions, because games that i like are perfectly emulated, and interface is simple and functional.

Anyways, thanks for your great effort!!!

Are you talking about frontend or fbneo core emulator?

Meanwhile.... i fixed Mortal Kombat fbneo driver on PS3

What's nice about that core on the PS3.
It does play CollecoVision Games as well, Which there is no other emulator that does (or been ported).
You have to goto core setting and change it for support of collecovision,

nonetheless a bit of a funfact about that core on the PS3 and CollecoVision emulaton on the PS3.

Edit: i see you have plans to add collecoVision in a future update :) .
Is that from that core or other means?

Hi Crystal, great job. It could be possible to enable lower resolutions? I'd like to use it on my old crt.
Thanks.

Thaks for the fast reply. The resolution should be 576i for PAL (I live in Italy) and 470i for NTSC.
I speak for myself now: I have a tv with "pixel plus" function that should make readable even 720p graphics (not perfect but readable) so i think it would be sufficient to enable 720p graphics for lower resolutions also, but I don't know if this is possible.
The fact is that old arcade games look so much better on old crts ^_^

*480i for NTSC

Well.... FrontEnd (FBNeo RL plus) works directly with PS3 resolution, so try to set 720p on your PS3 and then start FBneo Rl plus. Tell me how is for you at that resolution.
Actually only 1080p and 720p (but also 1080i and 720i ... i never tested them... now that i think it) are supported.

Edit:
About CRT... for that i like a lot set "scan lines" as video effect :devilish:

All about background music:
in the Options you can disable/enable it;
:but l3: or :but r3: to change Mp3 played in that moment;
You can to remove or to add Mp3 deleting or adding Mp3 files into folder /dev_hdd0/game/FBNE00123/USRDIR/soundtracks
Only Mp3 files;

Edit
Purple Motion... they were geniuses

Unzip this file and put original SixAxis Controller.cfg inside /dev_hdd0/game/FBNE00123/USRDIR/cores/autoconfig
Overrite that one you have modified and restart FBNeo

I put the file in the folder you spoke about and restarted the xmb and opened the EMULATOR and nothing has changed. [emoji22][emoji22][emoji22][emoji22][emoji22]

Plan B. It works always.
Disinstall FBNeo RL Plus (remove it completly) and reinstal it from zero. You will lost only preferred game list, if you made it.
