I try to understand since i hate having multiple homebrews for "trying" to playing them (I say "trying) because several refuse to load/start.

I wish to stick with only ONE Homebrews for playing my favorites MAME games (+/- 20 titles)

now in January 2022
with your extended skills / experiences in this domain
wich one you will choose between :

ANY RETROARCH version (specify the Official or CE)
or
FBNeo RL plus v2.30

and specifically why ?

my games come from source : MAME full set 0.78 & MAME Full Set 0.2.97.44
Wich version i should stick with to have best reading probability and/or did you have a better full set to refer to ???

Currently waiting for your answer my friend.

Just note that:

RetroArch is just a frontend
Retro Loader Plus is just a frontend.

They both use the same Libretro Core (emulator) fbneo for emulation..

As told perfectly by @STLcardsWS, both are frontend, but retroarch was has been designed and built for many different systems.
FBNEo RL Plus was has been designed and built for PS3, so as frontend is better and it was sewn onto the ps3.
Sources are easily editable and I can also use non-libretro cores, like mame 125 and E-UAE (amiga). When i want play some retro games on PS3, i use my FBNeo RL Plus.

I need to understand how it work better but french informations is non-existant i guess since ive not found anything online yet :(
I never been able to start any of the 3x AMIGACD32 game i have.
would be nice if i can find a short video tutorial somewhere (even without voice) to understand the process..

I remember having difficulty with FBNeo RL Plus last year and i erased it because it freezed black screen so many time compared to Retroarch CE but now im asking this question to myself and yourself :

"Did FBNeo RL Plus is 100% compatible with a HEN console ??"

"Did i have to copy/paste a MAME bios pack somewhere in order to have a better compatibility/chance of game to start/play ?? "

100% compatible.
As far as i know. only neogeo need bios... didn't tried some home systems, like msx.
 
we can have a txt for download this stuff via pkgi directly with ps3? wifi ftp upload is super slow and buggy. I haven't pc for usbstick

PKGi is a package downloader & installer. It lists the packages contained in a pkgi.txt database (in a tab delimited format) and allows the user to browse the files, filter the list, download the packages directly from PS3 and install the rap (if the database entry has one).

It allows multiple databases, including pkgi_emulators.txt

Sorry to return with this but im playing with Crystal's FBneo rl plus , tryings things and trying to learn how things work
(please dont forget i speak and electronic/programs are pretty hard to understand for a old buck like me that just came out the wood recently).

Crystal , if i add the pkg "FBNeoRLPlus.New_amiga_upgrade_v2.30_2021-04-27.pkg"
did it will finally allow me to run my only AmigaCD32 game ? (Bin / Cue) and/or Files Folder. ??

That upgrade install E-UAE modded core and it can't play Bin/Cue Amiga games, but only floppy and HDF games.
For a complete use of all kind of amiga games, you have to use PUAE core inside Retroarch CE where you can play WHDLoad and BIN/CUE games, too. In that case you have to put correct bios kick40060.CD32, kick40060.CD32.ext, kick34005.A500, kick40068.A1200 inside system folder of RetroArch CE.
 
Hi, please is there any way to set aspect ratio when using mame 0.125 core? I don't like deformed full screen aspect on 16/9 monitor. Thanks for your work
