Few problems on my ps3 on Rebug 4.84

Hey everyone,

I'm having a few problems but I don't know if they are related to the CFW Rebug 4.84.
1st... I'm going into the rebug toolbox and checking if the QA toggle is enabled but it's saying not available.
On xmb if I press the button combo then eddy viewer does show up.
Does that mean now that QA has been turned off?
( For reference I've updated from 4.70 rebug straight to this rebug 4.84 and I know I had QA enabled on 4.70 . )
2nd... My Mm ver 4.85 says BD emulator cannot be enabled.
I deleted mm and then reinstalled it but still the same error.
My hard drive games don't work as a result.

3rd... I'm activating PSN patch and pressing X until I hear a beep and it comes back xmb but even though its active I'm able to go into Mm. I also tried thru rebug toolbox by using cex option but still able to go on Mm.
I do have the normal webman installed as well.
I was not able to do that on my friend's cfw which was also rebug 4.84.

Any suggestions ?

No, that just brings up a debug settings menu which proves your QA flag is active, and will be unless you purposely toggle it off again.
 
Because you already have the QA flag enabled from back on 4.70 CFW. Like I said, it doesn't toggle itself off when installing a different CFW, and it's good practice to keep it on as it provides debug features not present on retail XMB as well as the added ability to install a lower firmware version if desired.

How long have you had the issue, and are you able to play actual physical discs in the drive? It sounds like it could be a BD drive issue, but I'm honestly not sure.

I think you need to hold :but tri: for a second or two in PSNpatch, in order to disable CFW features. Doing so will prevent you from running any homebrew without rebooting first. If you have webMAN MOD installed, you can also use the :but r2:+:but tri: which performs the same function.

When Installing REBUG CFW QA Flag is enabled by default, you can turn it off in REBUG Toolbox, and DEBUG Options will always show in the Settings menu no need to use a button combo> You can switch DEBUG Menu types in REBUG Toolbox> CEX QA, DEX.

BD Emulator is not needed to play games anymore, its obsolete really (Cobra/Mamba Payloads take care of all that now)> JB Folder format games are mounted using MultiMANs Payload, ISO's formt using Cobra Payload. If you want all games to show a the disc Icon on the XMB when monuted you need to enable cobra> which is enabled by default when you install REBUG, sop you my have disbaled it in REBUG Toolbox. MultiMAN should also be in mmCM Mode (Cobra Compatible) and not MultiMAN Mode.

JB Folder format games will appear in the app/home section on the games column when cobra is disabled> highlight app/home for a few second and it will change to the mounted game.

Using Cobra is better as it redirects the mount path to the proper place which is dev_bdvd.

This is quite simple and is linked to why your games do not show up> Cobra is disabled. Cobra has a built in homebrew blocker when the SYSCALS are disabled. Also so does PSN Patch in its Toolbox which you display by press Select in app but will only display when Cobra is enabled.

Enable Cobra to solve most of these issues... also if your where on DEX enable REBUG Mode as well, both can be done from the CFW Setting Menu in the Network column on the XMB or in REBUG Toolbox. If you have it enabled then try turning it off and then back on.

And when using PSN Patch pessing and holding X is only needed when you are spoofing your IDPS and PSID using this app, otherwise it's press and hold triangle till it beeps and returns to the XMB as @Coldheart2236 has said.

If you are still getting issue's try re-installing REBUG.
 
Great news, you guys were right and it was that my cobra was disabled in the toolbox but enabling it set all my questions to be answered and resolved.
