PS2 FMCB CodeBreaker

Hello everyone.

I'm new here and just needed to ask a question in relation to FMCB. I recently came into possession of a fat PS2 that my younger brother didn't want because "it's old tech". And I've started using FMCB with a SATA3 HDD connected via the network adapter. Anyway, when games are loaded in I have tried to enable cheats (I've completed these games in the old days so it's justified) and when I press X on them and proceed to press start on the home screen of the app, the cheats don't apply to the game. Does anyone know why that is?

I'm using a PAL system with European games ripped as ISO's. Also my CodeBreaker booted me directly into HDLoader the first time I tried this but now it opens uLaunchELF when I try it. Bizarre.

Can anyone help?

Thank you in advance.

Hello again.

So I have transferred all of my games to the HDD and installed Cheat Device to FMCB. When I try to activate them and start a game it opens uLaunchELF so I select HDLoader from there because the games aren't showing up in OPL and start a game.

The games keep freezing before a level or gameplay will load. Can anyone help? Why is this happening?

Thank you.

CodeBreakers internal Cheat-database only contains NTSC-Codes!

psxtools.de (German and biggest European multi-console website it seems), offered a PAL-Version or European DAY1 Database. I am not quite sure if it still works as of right now...

On another note: If you play your games from HDD, why don't you use OPL's integrated Cheat-Engine "(PS2) Artemis"? YES, that's the predecessor of Artemis Cheat Engine for the PS3!

If your games don't show up in OPL, you might have missed activating the device?!?
