PS2 FMCB(FHDB) does not return to Browser

You couldn't install FMCB 1.8b on HDD because it doesn't support it...

Besides that, if FMCB is installed on Memory Card and is inserted, PS2 will always boot from it. So if You have FMCB and FHDB, it will always boot FMCB from card.

Your problems are probably because of modchip. Disable it (if there is such possibility) or unsolder it and check the results.

PS2 fat 3901
Such model doesn't exist.

I forgot to put a 0 the model is PS2 fat 39001!
the problem is i don't know what my modchip is and i'm afraid it will damage my console when i open it so i thought it was a software problem so i just have to wait for a new version and test it anyway way, Thanks for the help!

Probably there will be no new version of FMCB in future. Currently it is dead project. So v1.8b and 1.8c are last versions of Jimmikaelkael line, and 1.966 is the last from SP193.

1.8x and older should works with most of modchips, while 1.9xx aren't intentionally. Black screen on boot or black screen after application boot from OSDSYS is common issue with modchips, so I assumed this is Your case. If You installed FHDB, just turn on PS2, without memory card but with this HDD, it should starts FHDB. And if will do, it means that something wrong is on MC side.

Many modchips, their clones and clones of clones have a way to disabling it temporary (until next boot/reset) by button combo pressed on start.

I forgot to put a 0 the model is PS2 fat 39001!

Se vc tem um " Modem " Network Adapter, abra seu console e corte os fios do Chip com um cortador de unha mesmo, fiz isso esses dias no meu console.

(Google Translate)
If you have a "Modem" Network Adapter, open your console and cut the wires with a chip nail clipper, I did that these days on my console.

"Intentionally"???
No... It's because of multiple reasons.
  1. SP193 reverted the ELF-Launching-Method to 1.7's way, via relaunching FMCB via arguments, instead of a runtime ELF-Launcher running in the background and by...
  2. Shifting the stuff to another offset, commonly used by some Modchips.

@Wesley Von Hohenheim
I suppose you have a Crystal-Chip!

Turn the PS2 on and once both lights are glowing, press RESET 6 times!
Press it every half second...

Hi guys, I managed to just answer today, I appreciate everyone's help so far!

I went to see the executables that was on the partition "__system" and there was the file "osd.elf" and tried to run by wLaunch but returned me the following message at the top of wLaunch.elf "the file is not .elf" so I'm thinking that the file is corrupted so I'm wondering if any of you would have been file (may be in the previous version) available for download and if still not succeed in my i'll uninstall the FHDB and I'll use the HDD-OSD as a palliative, as it is a pity the FMCB(FHDB) has been discontinued.

P.S. The "fsck.elf" file (I think that's the name) also gives the same error!

No, it is not corrupted... It IS NOT an ELF! It is a KELF.

HDD-OSD is better than HDD-OSD only IMO.
Just because Berion says it, it doesn't mean that we will never see updates to FMCB/FHDB...

@TnA That's what I call intentionally. I didn't have in mind that SP193 made those changes specially to cut off modchips. They have got by ricochet. ;]

FMCB are dead because Jimmikaelkael is no longer on the scene, right? And because SP193 is no longer on the scene, right? So high probably no one will take the code (FMCB 1.9xx is still closed anyway, only installer is open) and create another fork. XEB maybe? But that's a mist of the future anyway.

HDD-OSD is better than HDD-OSD only IMO.
? ;)

WRONG!
  1. Jimmikaelkael joined the PS2-Scene-Discord (which you would know, if you were on it more often)!
  2. Just because SP193 is not here anymore, doesn't change anything in regard to FMCB/FHDB!
  3. I'd bet 1000€ against 1000 people, that there will be an update SOMEWHEN!

Oh! I meant "FHDB + HDD-OSD is better than HDD-OSD alone IMO!"!

Given how far XEB+ and Enceladus evolved, I am SURE we will see a release this year!

The GUI and the functions are working quite well, but HWNJ/ChelseaFantasy wants to have it as bug-free and Noob-friendly as possible.

@TnA Why supporting Discord, a platform without content control and without a way to archive data from it and forcing users to annoying and unnecessary 2FA? Forum is the old and the best form of communication, as it is even doesn't work in real time. ;p I don't get it.

Changing at least for FMCB 1.9xx line because we don't have its source code. Source for FMCB v1.8b/c is open/released (at least some devs have it) so it is possible that someone will take it and forked/reforged. Like @HWNJ did with XEB? But TBH I didn't saw any other version of it besides "superchildmode" which doesn't allow me to set my config, not even change themes besides messing on fs level. This a little discouraged me. ;p

There's some stuff I haven't updated from the old XEB+ dashboard (keep in mind I did a mix of Enceladus and the previous dashboard), so, let's say I want to avoid any problems with sceCdWriteNVM and decided to put everything in a text file instead, but I haven't done that so far, so the C function stays as in the old dashboard. Why? Because I always say "I can do that really faster later" and I never do it and focus on adding some wacky new stuff or improving something else.

Oh, and I almost forgot: You have seen more than some since you've also tested the (disguised) installer AAAAAND, the Childproof version you have is a bit more special than the one the other one I have shared with some other devs: yours can launch scripts from the menu in a weird way you need to find out (hence, can load plugins in a hacky way), but you will need to find out how.
I later disabled that function in another UltraChildProof build.
