PS2 FMVs have no audio on The Incredibles: Rise of the Underminer on OPL SMB

I'm new to this homebrew thing but I can't make the FMVs on this game to work correctly. The first level's FMV and the second level's first two FMVs (I haven't progressed further in the game) have no audio and have a "buzz" sound on both NTSC and PAL versions. Is it because this game doesn't show up on both OPL compatibility lists? There are a lot of games played via SMB that I want to play that don't show up there. If I use a combination of OPL Modes (2, 3 and 6), the second level's FMVs have audio and don't have the "buzz" sound but the audio is relatively out of sync (I thought I wouldn't have this problem on SMB but only on USB) and the first level's first FMV (at least, since I didn't progress further) has a green screen. I'm using the latest OPL Daily Build. Should I only play via SMB the games that show up on both OPL compatibility lists or should I try the ones that don't show up there too, ignoring the ones which according to those lists have problems when played via SMB? Do I have to play each game from start to finish to know if it has any problems, and if it does, may it have no fix or may it only have a partial fix and both may break another thing on the game, so I may have to use a certain mode or combination of modes on certain parts of some games and afterwards change it/them back? I think it isn't worth it.

Is playing games via OPL on SMB always this complicated? This game was one of the first I tried. Maybe it's because it doesn't show up on the OPL compatibility lists. What if I burn this game to a DVD (even though I want to spare the PS2' laser I may have no choice) and play the game via ESR, will I have these problems? It doesn't show up on the ESR list too but I've been told playing burned games is more compatible than playing via OPL and if I do that I don't need to bother about OPL modes. Can someone tell me what is the CFG file on one of the OPL compatibility lists for and where should I put it? Do I have to rename it to match my games' names?

why would you burn a disc if you have both ntfs and pal original discs? the burned copy will put more stress on laser than original disc.

Just in case both of them stop working.

EDIT: It looks like the problem was caused by running the game from an external HDD connected to the PC. If I run the game from the PC's HDD, I don't have these problems.
