I was just wondering I have read many posts in regards to the 40nm frankenstein but I was wondering how many have had the frankie done with the 65nm GPU? According to a chart I looked at the 65nm series were closer to the bumpgate issues of the 90nm GPUs (the CXD2982) as compared to the revised 65nm chip CXD2991.

I'm just wondering on the reliability of the 65nm (besides being able to support the OtherOS) for long term gaming use?

i have the same doubt. i want to frankie a dead A01 (3034) and i already have a 65nm CXD2982 GPU... i was thinking about the reability too...

If you have a choice, I recommend using 40nm rsx. I sold a YLOD A00 to a seller whose case was cracked. He told me that he bought it second-hand in 2013 and has used it without any problems. When he opened it, he found that it was a 40nm Frankie made by Sony.
