PS3 Frankenstein PHAT PS3: CECHA with 40nm RSX

I ordered the teensy 2.0 ++ AT90USB1286. Whats the name of the dongle I should be looking for?

I took the console inside and now its working. I turned it on and after a few seconds the screen started flashing and eventually the XMB came up with some static on screen. I wiggled the HDMI and it started flashing again. So, bad/loose HDMI port. Doesn't explain that SB error or why it wouldn't display out of the AV port. I do remember wiggling the port when it was downstairs. I installed a larger HDD in it and after the format it wouldn't detect the new HDD but after another reboot it was working. Maybe the console was dropped, I'll check the solder connections for the HDMI and HDD in the morning.

Thanks
Wait did you get image with not connected hdd? Wierd not sure if is hdmi related.

Put a new HDMI port in it and the output is solid now. Of course the disc drive didnt work so I had to figure out why it didnt have 12v but I found a shorted cap in the supply circuit. I didnt check the syscon yet but Im wondering if I got that error because I didnt enable the SB log in the syscon. Or would it just display a blank output window?

On CECHA board - only RSX from 21\25\30 models compatable? Witch is better to use for CECHA?

Ok seems to be like put 3.55 ofw on right location on a fat32 for updates like you would update unit.
Put console in safe mode /recovery.
Now if you see controller connected with unit via cable hit once ps button, keep pressing down d pad and hit x.
If all good hdd should blink mean it is updating. If not it will say all errors.
All this time watch sb uart log. There you will see if it passes.Ace did one video I can't find right now. So all process is blind but you can watch sb uart log to understand what is failing.

Ive now tried 4 different USB sticks and the E3 stick and it still wont do anything. I tried a bunch of older USB drives and im using a 16gb micro sd in the E3 stick. 3.55 OFW and lv2diag.self on root of drive. SB log just goes to initial system process done. Even if it did work the controller wont sync so I dont think a blind update would work. I have a teensy now but Im not finding anything about patching the nands.

Hi there!
I might probably have succeeded in finding the most heat-generating (but don't know if it's stressful, or just heats it up like Prime95) scenario for the RSX. You'll never belive this... Uncharted 3s title screen. Noticed it on a delidded G model that it the temps have rizen significantly afer....returning to the title screen from the game. :D
This game is convenient to use for testing heating

Hello everyone. Do you know how to get Orbis Mod chip in Europe? Shopee webpage throws an error when I try to visit, eBay shows no listing. Is it still available?

Hi. I did a frankestein on a cok002 board. I have Glod... And from sb log system is 3.50 version. Could be a problem? I have no errors with bringup command or sb uart log, system seems running fine. It was a 3003 error console. I ve replaced cell tokin but it turns in a glod console... So i thought a bad rsx, but still same issue with a 40nm rsx.

Change all tokins and add photos of resistors mod you moved/installed as close as you can
Test safe mode see if you get image with hdmi or av. You can't kill twice same way an rsx. That would be bad luck or wrong profile but assumed you can do an reball on slims and work this will work on cok models with right power of rework station bottom rely.

Check the resistor mod like vyktor said. Also, check with AV instead of HDMI, wiggle HDMI port and see if it does anything. Is the monitor black or does it say no signal? Does the controller sync? Can you hear audio? Does the HDD LED flash once after it boots or do you see it flashing on and off? I did one yesterday that wouldnt display video that had a loose HDMI port and the one I did today had a bad HDMI chip, so dont count that out.

Hi i will post picture later.. i ve used a 9.1k resistor instead of 10k (the 45 degrees one) coz the original was 10k had ripped pads, but i dont think this can cause glod.. i ve no video both hdmi and composite, no audio, hdd led flash just once veri quiclky then off. no video in safe mode aswell.. could be a bad rsx even if no errors on sb log?

I ve soldered a new rsx 5300 40nm.. modified syscon again (EB instead of EC) . Still glod..

I really don't know what to say. You can add an sb uart log or Hdmi chstat 0 or 1 but we don't know exactly at this point. I've seen some people have this issue with normal unit. If you see Ace console repair on YT we have one that doesn't show on hdmi. Over 3 days we tried to find /figure where is messing with hdmi port. Av is fine but will boot like with delay. Idk what to suggest.

ok guys figured it out i used the wrong pad with the resistor mod ... now evrything works fine... this is the correct sb uart log of the working frankestein console

As you can see the string "# RSXAuRSX #410-ffffffff [fedb9bf7]" is missing now... so that was the error showing on sb uart log when there is something wrong with the RSX

What did I ask you to post resistance mod before swap rsx. I know good tech with that mistake.
Seen that deviation of rsx and thought to reply but you figured.

Yep i soldered the resistance on the top pad instead of the bottom one.. i did 10+ franky mod but this time i made the mistake... Thx guys.
